Happy editing! ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 21:46, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the welcome, ScottishFinnishRadish. Just wondering: was my (extremely minor) edit on the Conspiracy theory article defective in some way, or are these kinds of help links provided for all new contributors?
(I know I'm supposed to ask questions at the Teahouse but this one feels too inconsequential to warrant a formal post.) Michael Skyba (talk) 23:20, 5 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Most of the time and editor will get a welcome template like that in their first couple weeks of editing. That article attracts a lot of sub-par editing, so I checked it when it popped up on my watchlist, and the edit looked good. I noticed your talk page was a red link, and figured I'd give you a welcome. In conclusion, your edit was good, and the welcome messages are routine.
