NHL team rosters
[edit]Howdy Midi7. See WP:HOCKEY, we keep diacritics off the NHL team articles. GoodDay (talk) 01:55, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for notice, I won't use it. --Midi7 (talk) 03:40, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
Regions of CZ
[edit]hi there,
concerning the naming of the regions, it needs to be in English which is official policy. Gryffindor (talk) 20:22, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, I understand you. But still think it is not correct form of name. --Miďonek (talk) 20:23, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
- You can take a look here: it's called "Bavaria" and not "Bayern", and "Burgundy" and not "Bourgogne". The policy is this one [1]. Thank you. Gryffindor (talk) 08:21, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

Update
[edit]I was asked by Filelakeshoe to look. FYI things at WP:HOCKEY have resolved themselves, the guideline now reads:
All player pages should have diacritics applied (where required, according to the languages of the player in question)
It has been this way since before the big bulk RM at Talk:Dominik Halmoši in August 2012. As far as I know the only straightforward bio in the whole of en.wp which does not conform to the WP:HOCKEY or WP:TENNISNAMES decision is Ana Ivanovic. Any other straightforward bios are just accidents, the result of no one having noticed. Cheers. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:34, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hello In ictu oculi, thank you for your notice. I wanted to move article by myself but I can't do it. Greetings, --Miďonek (talk) 17:16, 16 June 2014 (UTC)
