Michael Gonzalez. (born December 31, 1993) is an American professional baseball player for Luzern Eagles of the Switzerland NLA (baseball). He played college baseball for La Sierra Golden Ealges baseball.

High school career

In 2009 and 2010, Gonzalez went to Etiwanda High School and played for coach Shane Moses in Rancho Cucamonga, California. As a junior playing for the Eagles in 2010–11, he played under coach Donnie Furnald where he helped lead his team to the CIF Southern Section 2 finals where they lost to Mission Viejo by the score of 6-2. As a senior Gonzalez was named All League in the Baseline League.


College career

Gonzalez played four years of college baseball for La Sierra Golden Eagles baseball, graduating from the school following the 2015–16 season. He was a four year starter for the Golden Eagles playing all 9 positions for them throughout his career.

In 2015-2016 playing for the Golden Eagles, Gonzalez led the team with 18 RBI's in Cal Pac play with .370 batting average and a .648 slugging percentage, including four doubles, three homeruns, and one triple in 54 at-bats. Gonzalez also contributed with his glove, ending the season with a .946 fielding percentage. He had a team-high 224 chances with 189 putouts and 23 assists. He subsequently earned first-team All-Cal Pac Conference honors[1] in the Cal Pac's first year as a conference. In this season the Golden Eagles turned in their best record (17-26-1) and longest winning streak (4) in program history en route to fall one game short of playoffs.

Professional career

Wesley went undrafted in the 2016 MLB draft. On January 12, 2016, the day after the draft he was acquired by the Rohrbach Crazy Geese of the Baseball League Austria. On June 26, he made his professional debut in a 9-6 loss to the Vienna Wanderers, going 1-2 with a double and two walks. He went on to help the Geese win the league championship with a sweep of the Finals over the Vienna Wanderers.[2]

On August 22, 2016, Wesley signed with Peel Mariners Baseball Club of the Western Australia State League. Where he was top three in every major offensive category. From the state league he got the opportunity to play with Perth Heat of the Australia Baseball League during the 2016-2017 season.

On Janurary 5, 2017, Gonzalez signed with the Chartres French Cubs of the French Elite League (baseball) for the 2017 season. He lead the team in most offensive and pitching categories. [3]
