Promotional editing
[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to article. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. The systematic addition of references to an external website, in gross disproportion to the site's critical reputation, is generally viewed as promotional editing, at least bordering on spammery. This is your last warning; the next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at article, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You were warned about doing this when you used a different account several years ago. I have removed all the promotional references you added earlier today. If you do not stop, promptly, I will request an administrative block on this account; if you resume under another account, you will run the risk that your site be placed on the Wikipedia list of forbidden links, so that neither you nor any other user may link to your site without adminstrative review and permission. If you wish to advertise your reviews, do so by placing paid advertising at a site which accepts advertising. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 16:55, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Request reason:
It's strange to think that Wikipedia, a site that advertises itself as "the free encyclopedia" where "anyone can edit," actively practices discrimination. Adding thoughtful responses to the Reception section for a film in accord with the page guidelines/references is NOT spam or self promotion. Nor is adding an interview with a particular filmmaker or star. It's precisely what other critics have already done and continue to do (check out the Reception section of 'Batman Begins' as an example).
However, if those are the rules, let me know when all references to Roger Ebert, Peter Travers, James Berardinelli, Mike Clark, Charles Taylor, Claudia Puig, Steve Persall, A.O. Scott, Walter Addiego, Philip French, Neil Smith, Kim Newman, Joe Morgenstern, Richard Corliss, Owen Gleiberman, etc. have been removed as well. After all, the rules should apply to everyone, right?
Decline reason:
You are not currently blocked. If you have issues with the link you were adding, please discuss with the admin who blocked you or the users who left the warnings on this page. TNXMan 17:17, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
