Welcome to my talk page

Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. warning removed, after explantion below Kingpin13 (talk) 21:37, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Somehow, cluebot got to it before I could and my reversion ended up reverting to a vandalized version. At least it got fixed.Metiscus (talk) 21:40, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Oh right, my apologies then, didn't spot that. Happens to us all :) - Kingpin13 (talk) 21:42, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Having too many people trying to revert vandalism is a much better problem to have than the opposite. :) Thanks again 130.210.132.181 Metiscus (talk) 21:46, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Adoption

I would very much like to be adopted by you, G.phanisrinivas. My primary interest on Wikipedia is improving the overall quality of the content by reverting and correcting subtle vandalism. I also am interested in improving the quality of articles in the simulation and training area. I have access to published information sources about that might not be readily available to the average wiki editor.Metiscus (talk) 07:26, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

I had been out to my native place and I am now back to wikipedia. Well, you are my first adoptee, so thanks a lot.How shall we start? reply here only and place tb template as before. --Srinivas G Phani 13:12, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

CSD and oversight

Hi there!

The other day you (appropriately) tagged Whitney vasquez for CSD as non-notable. I was cruising through CSD and saw the article. It contained personal information, in this case a phone number, so I suppressed/deleted it. If you go to check, this is why the article is no longer even publicly logged as created. In your future excellent word as a new page patroller, if you see non-public/personal identifying information in an article, toss a quick note to the oversighters to permanently remove such edits. Just a line saying what it contains with a link to the page/diff is all that is generally needed.

Again, thanks for your work, and happy editing to you! Keegan (talk) 06:48, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

PDSF

I don't think you did the community any favors by moving Pdsf to Draft:Pdsf. The author was clearly using Wikipedia to promote his non-notable organization. As an article, it was clearly deserving of speedy deletion. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 21:19, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Strictly speaking, there are other student societies that are notable and the subject of this article could be notable if they are able to provide some sources. Given that the author is most likely Rather than just delete the article I wanted to give them a chance to add the needed sources. As an example, an organization with the same name is linked at https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_Indian_student_organisations. Metiscus (talk) 21:27, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers

Hi Metiscus,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

 3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
 4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
 5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.
