Article 1: History of education https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/History_of_education this is a very broad topic

Evaluating Content

[edit]

All of the information in the "History of education" wikipedia page is for the most part relevant. The only issue with this page is the outdated sources/ broken sources and its overall organization. also the use of citing the source is misrepresented. The reason why I point out the age of the sources is because the amount of time for a source to really run out of relevance and credibility is any where around the late 1900s.

Just the fact that the link or source is broken automatically effects the overall persuasiveness and credibility of the topic. For example here is one of the links found that does not work. [1]. To go more into depth about the lack of organization, there was a couple of placed sources with no info to help the reader understand why it's important.

Evaluating Tone

[edit]

The overall tone of this article was to inform the reader about the topic of the history of education. i feel the author did decent job at this and was able to teach me a few things. there was no since of biases or a one-sided claims made for a broader topic.

Evaluating Sources

[edit]

As I stated earlier, there are several outdated and broken sources and this hurts the overall credibility of the article itself.

Checking Talk Page

[edit]

By checking the talk page i notice that even though some of the sources are outdated, many of the responses weren't. many of them seemed to have extensive criticism about some of the same issues i notice. they talked about the broken sources and the outdated sources. also one of the people who commented on the talk page said that there was many sources that should have been added to make this an even better page.
