Not vandalism
[edit]Obviously you are new here. There is much discussion on the talk page (and its archives) on whether Best Buy should even have a criticism section. If anything, I would resort to the talk page for major edits. In addition, always start by assuming good faith (unless it's blatant vandalism). Regards, Tuxide 02:50, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
It should be noted Tuxide is referring to his recent act of vandalism that was done to the Best Buy site. I left a short message on the user's talk page referring him or her to Wikipdedia help documents. --Memejojo 02:55, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- ...uh, the Best Buy article is not yours. I am changing the headings in the Criticism section to comply with WP:MOSHEAD whether you agree with the changes or not. In headings, only the first word and proper nouns should be capitalized. Regards, Tuxide 03:04, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
It shows that mature debates are easily resolved after a quick glance at the Help pages. Thank you and good luck--Memejojo 03:15, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, we remind you not to attack other editors, as you did here: Talk:Best Buy. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Tuxide 20:34, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
I referred the user who posted the above to the Wikipedia help pages. Such a consultation is helpful for all users who wish to maintain good status in Wikipedia. In addition, I removed the so called welcome to Wikipedia icon. It slows download time and is redundant. If every user placed a welcome to Wikipedia icon on every other user's site the site would crawl.
- ...uh, no as per WP:PERF. Tuxide 20:57, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
I noticed that you edited someone else's comment for clarity, spelling or grammar. As a rule, please refrain from editing others' comments without their permission. Though it may appear helpful to correct typing errors, grammar, etc., please do not go out of your way to bring talk pages to publishing standards, since it is not terribly productive and will tend to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. For more details, see Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. Thanks, Tuxide 20:57, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
The edit was fully compliant with Wikipedia standards and will stand. Any further discussion should perhaps take place offline. Please see earlier post for the exact reasoning for the minor edit. Thanks and good luck --Memejojo 21:04, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
After taking a look at the above links and the evidence presented I have decided that user memejojo is not a "sockpuppet" of any other user past or present on wikipedia. We invite the poster who edited the page to present new and compelling evidence within the next 24 hours. If not then the matter will be considered resolved so that the new user will not have to live under suspicion of breaking the rules. We want an inviting and vibrant wikipedia community, not one which accuses it's newest members of plaigarism or subtefuge. Thanks and good luck --Memejojo 21:11, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Removal of spam. Refer to history for any user interested in spam.
As for the sockpuppet evidence. Said user still has a day to come up with new evidence otherwise the accusation will be removed for the good of the new user. Thanks and good luck. --Memejojo 23:32, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
There is a cooling off period requested for user B2bomber81. Such action was necessary in light of the volume of intimidating posts on this and other pages directed at this pages user. I hope this puts an end to the harrassment if not then I would like to note further steps will have to be taken. Thanks and good luck. --Memejojo 00:16, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Regarding some of your comments above: it is not up to you to decide whether you are someone's sockpuppet or not. You are not your own judge. Also note that a request for CheckUser has been filed against you. AecisBrievenbus 12:05, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
Block
[edit]I have blocked you indefinitely for being a sockpuppet of Momoj (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) in order to go around a block placed on the original account. That, and you have also persistently continued your agressive editting tactics and being a single-purpose account to attack B2bomber81 and disrupt the Best Buy article. You may appeal this block through the use of {{unblock}}.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 00:24, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Request for CheckUser
[edit]The Request for CheckUser against you has been ruled unnecessary, with the explanation "Edit evidence plus name similarity makes it sufficiently obvious." Please stop trying to deny that you have previously edited Wikipedia using the accounts Momoj (talk · contribs) and Jomomm (talk · contribs). Please be reminded that Wikipedia is not a soapbox to voice your discontent with Best Buy. If you wish to see a change to the article, use the talk page Talk:Best Buy. Please do not engage in edit wars. Also be reminded that vague accusations against established editors are not appropriate. You are not being harassed. I would strongly suggest you become acquainted with Wikipedia first, before you engage in a confrontation. AecisBrievenbus 00:31, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
