Overall, I would like to say your written piece is very well written and I really enjoyed reading it. In addition, I would like to suggest the piece of “La Chicana” by Elizabeth Martinez in the feminist theory book. More specifically how patriarchy supports the unequal distribution of domestic labor in the household. Located on page 114 of our text she states “The Chicana may be working 16 hours a day to support and care for her children but she will still be viewed as a sexual object rather than as a human being.” Domestic labor is devalued and therefore, men see no purpose in contributing.
