Question for administrator[edit]

{{adminhelp}} I have just created a page for william marsden diplomat in userpage. i clicked on save button and it does not show up in wikipedia. also i dont know where to go to edit the page - i would like to add my signature.

You created it at User:Melissa12345/William Marsden (diplomat). The place for it would be William Marsden (diplomat) instead though, where you can move it. Remember that your signature should not be added to articles on Wikipedia. Regards SoWhy 17:04, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
PS: I cleaned up your draft a bit. You don't need to use <br/> in articles - just leave a line empty and the software will automatically convert it to paragraphs. Also, you should try to add some more reliable sources before adding the article to the encyclopedia. If you need any more help, just ask here again, using {{helpme}} (you only need {{adminhelp}} if your problem involves a deleted or protected page or a blocked user. (edit conflict)Hello Melissa12345, your subpage is User:Melissa12345/William Marsden (diplomat). You can edit it there, but it won't show up in searches until it's "live." It needs some work between now and then though.  ;-] Your signature worked fine, just type four tildes (~~~~) - but don't do that in the article! Just on user and article talk pages. Further questions, ask me right here, I'll be watching. You won't need the helpme tag again.  :-] Fleetflame · whack! whack! · 17:06, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey again, Melissa. You're probably going to need more than just that one reference. Try to find mentions of the person in newspapers, magazines, that sort of thing. See this for information on the type of sources we're looking for. This may help also. Further questions? let me know! Fleetflame · whack! whack! · 01:17, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
