This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Chikamaka Band, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://chikamakaband.com. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. I have rewritten the sections that constituted a copyright infringement, both to avoid a possible deletion of the article, and to make them more in line with Wikipedia's style and the neutral point of view. Please check to make sure I did not introduce any errors in the process. Also, several sections are not cited with inline references. Adding such references would improve the article and make it easier for readers to verify the facts it includes. DES (talk) 21:39, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

State recognized and Unrecognized tribes

[edit]

You can't have it both ways. The six in question needs to be on one list or the other. When merging information from federal sources, federally recognized tribal sources, TN legislative sources, the result is the six. As [[User:Uyvsdi|Uyvsdi] stated, please discuss this at the page's talk page. Until then, to stop the edit war, we will go back to the June 15th point, come to a consensus (and make the consensus quickly) and then get the six listed. Let's continue this discussion there. CJLippert (talk) 05:49, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Basis for the removal of names from the Unrecognized tribes is that these tribes have been recognized by the Tennessee Commission of Indian Affairs. This data is easily verifiable at http://www.state.tn.us/environment/boards/tcia/. [user:Meeksje| Meeksje] 20100624 12:52 (CDT)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on State recognized tribes. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. -Uyvsdi (talk) 05:57, 24 June 2010 (UTC)Uyvsdi[reply]

Will you also place this notice on CJLipert Since it is he that continues to make the Erroneous edits as based on the Tennessee Commission of Indian Affairs Website Meeksje (talk) 20100624 0104 (CDT)

Use the talk page of the article, Talk:State recognized tribes, to discuss the issues at hand and to reach consensus, as opposed to reverting and repeatedly making similar edits. -Uyvsdi (talk) 07:15, 24 June 2010 (UTC)Uyvsdi[reply]

Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 06:12, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Chikamaka Band has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Group appears to no longer exist. Website has been down and was listed under "South Cumberland Band of Chickamaugas" anyway.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
