Information icon Hello, I'm Fraggle81. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to As You Like It because it did not appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Fraggle81 (talk) 18:22, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at The Lord of the Rings. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been automatically reverted.

British spelling vs. American spelling

[edit]

Please do not change British spellings to American spellings in articles that have strong national ties to that country, such as "A Tale of Two Cities", or in articles that have British spelling established. That page also contains the template "Use British English" at the top. See WP:TIES and WP:RETAIN. Chris the speller yack 02:04, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edits to A Tale of Two Cities

[edit]

Hello, and thank you for your recent contributions. I appreciate the effort you made for our project, but unfortunately I had to undo your edit(s) because it did not meet one or more of our policies.

Specifically, it is against policy to change the spelling from UK to US (or vice veras) on an article. Articles may be written in either spelling convention, so long as it's consistent throughout the article; once written, it is against policy to change the spelling in a given article.

Feel free to read more there, or contact me directly if you have any questions. Thank you! Ijon (talk) 06:21, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
