request for assistance for a Dutch subject =
Hi Mdd, I found your name when I was working on an article about Dutch ceramicist Sophie Verrijn Stuart. She was a student of Bert Nienhuis. In 2015 you created the English translation of the article about him. The reason I am contacting you today is that I am working on an English version of an article Nederlandsche Vereeniging voor Ambachts- en Nijverheidskunst. I would like to add information on why the organization was formed, and I am not finding any information in English. The corresponding article in Dutch is unsourced and does not discuss why it was formed. I suspect it had something to do with Art Guilds and employment, especially as they created yearbooks from 1915 to 1940. The book Vrouwen in de vormgeving in Nederland 1880-1940 pp 124 - 143 has information on the topic. I do not read Dutch or German and I cannot copy and paste the text into Google translate. Would you possible have the time or inclination to help me with improving the V.A.N.K article? If not would you know someone who reads Dutch who might? Thanks for considering this. Best Regards, WomenArtistUpdates (talk) 18:13, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks @WomenArtistUpdates:. The 2007 work by Marjan Groot gives a lot of details about people affiliated with the VANK, but little about VANK itself. You can find an introduction of VANK and its origins in the book Goed in vorm: honderd jaar ontwerpen in Nederland by Mienke Simon Thomas (2008) at p. 41 and more (full access at Google.books). There is a translation available "Dutch Design: A History" (2008) with only limited access on Google. I will see what I can do in assisting in improving the Dutch and English article on VANK, but this can take a while. -- Mdd (talk) 11:27, 19 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you Mdd! I think the Thomas book (translated) will be extremely helpful. I was already able to add reasons why the organization was founded. I do hope you have some time to tinker with the articles. Best, WomenArtistUpdates (talk) 16:13, 19 December 2020 (UTC)

Daniel McCallum (21 January 1815 – 27 December 1878) was a Scottish-born American railroad engineer, general manager of the New York and Erie Railroad, and a brevet major general in the Union Army during the American Civil War. He is known as one of the early pioneers of management; in 1855, he designed an illustrative organization chart of the New York and Erie Railroad, considered to be the first modern organizational chart. It provides a plan of the organization, showing the division of administrative responsibilities and the number and class of employees engaged in each department. Onze Kunst van Heden
Hi Mdd, I approach you hat-in-hand again. I am working on the English article on Onze Kunst van Heden. Any information you can add about this exhibit would be appreciated. Specifically, I am wondering if the show was juried or if it was related to membership in a particular artist association. Also, the source of artists, ARTindex Lexicon Online, only lists 700 of the 750 artist because the interface only allows for 700 results. I have written them (in English) requesting T -Z, but haven't heard back from them after several weeks. Any ideas on how to get those names? I do have the list of artists in Excel and could work to revise it for the Dutch Wikipedia, if you think that would be worthwhile. I would like to hear your thoughts on this before I spend time coding. Best regards, WomenArtistUpdates (talk) 19:15, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. The exhibition was an initiative of nl:Frederik Schmidt Degener, see also here. This newspaper article stated the exhibition was jury-free. Each artist could contribute four art works. -- Mdd (talk) 19:41, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you for the information and citation! Best, WomenArtistUpdates (talk) 20:11, 17 January 2021 (UTC)

Project Management Institute updates
Hello! I'm Acacia, an employee of the Project Management Institute. I'm looking for an editor to help me make a couple of small changes to the PMI article and see that you did a lot of work on it years ago. The updates I am looking for are to add mention of the current CEO to the article, and remove one redundant word from the Infobox. You can see my edit request here. Because of my COI I won't edit the article directly. If you're available to help I'd appreciate it. Thanks very much! PMIAcacia (talk) 14:18, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
