Proposed deletion of Librex

[edit]

The article Librex has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable software product.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. You added a lot of references to the article about Librex, but none of them support the notability of the product. The references you've added amount to primary sources (information from the publisher's (Corium) own website or press releases published by Corium) or trivial listings and advertisements. None of them amount to any significant coverage of this product in independant sources. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 20:32, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Maintenance templates

[edit]

You removed the maintenance templates regarding the need for secondary sources to bolster the notability from Librex, stating:

New references - Multiple of them are from sites with very good notability (2 AIIM references, the main organization in content management, 1 reference from Microsoft, 1 reference as a top tool for Alfresco (nomanualdataentry.org), many partner references)

But the sources do not appear to be independent, regardless of the "notability" of the websites from which they are taken.

  1. This source is a press release published by Corium (Librex' publisher) on the AIIM website.
  2. This is a blog entry listing the various tools available to scan documents into Alfresco, of which Librex is but one entry.
  3. This is essentially an advertisement for Librex at Microsoft's Pinpoint website.
  4. This is a listing of business partners of IroSoft, of which Corium is apparently one.
  5. This is a listing of business partners of PG Solutions, of which Corium is apparently one.
  6. This is a case study published by Corium detailing how AIIM members might use Corium's Librex product; which amounts to little more than a detailed adverstisement.
  7. This appears to be an advertisement for Corium placed on the AppNovation website without a clear indication of why AppNovation would host such and ad, but an ad is an ad no matter why it is hosted.
  8. The rest of the references in the article are either to Corium's own website, or to Youtube videos (which are never acceptable as reliable sources at Wikipedia.

In short, none of the sources listed on the page amount to significant coverage in reliable, independent sources, as required by Wikipedia's notability policy. For this reason, I will restore the maintenance templates on the page. If you are able to address these issues, great. If not, the article will likely face deletion.
