Copyright violation in Image:Books mayday.jpg
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Books mayday.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Books mayday.jpg is unquestionably copyright infringement, and no assertion of permission has been made.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Books mayday.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Eyetooth (novel)
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Eyetooth (novel), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Eyetooth (novel). --Geniac (talk) 14:41, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Geoff Campbell
[edit]A tag has been placed on Geoff Campbell requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Gromlakh (talk) 01:40, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
Please don't use cut&paste to move/rename articles
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently copied the contents of a page and pasted it into another with a different name. Specifically, you copied the contents of McLeods Daughters - The First Season and pasted it into Season 1 (McLeod's Daughters). This is what we call a "cut and paste move", and it is very undesirable because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. The mechanism we use for renaming an article is to move it to a new name which both preserves the page's history and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself by this process, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves to request the move by another. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Speedy deletion of Annie Campbell
[edit]A tag has been placed on Annie Campbell, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Printer222 (talk) 12:00, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
Home and Away
[edit]Hi, i've just been reviewing your recent edits to Home and Away and it seems that you have been adding information about characters coming/going. Could you please go and see the wikipedia policy WP:BALL and you will find out that wikipedia is not a remour mill and that all claims about the future MUST be refrenced and have a reliable 3rd party source. Even if there is adequate refrencing WP:BALL also states that future events may not justify information untill the event has happend. This is why i reverted your edits. If you have an issue with my justification please leave a message on my talk page and i'll get back to you ASAP. Cheers Printer222 (talk) 11:44, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Season 3.jpg
[edit]Hi McLeod's Fan 2001 - 2008!
We thank you for uploading Image:Season 3.jpg, but there is a problem. Your image is currently missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Unless you can help by adding a copyright tag, it may be deleted by an Administrator. If you know this information, then we urge you to add a copyright tag to the image description page. We apologize for this, but all images must confirm to policy on Wikipedia.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks so much for your cooperation.

McLeod's Daughters (season 7)
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to McLeod's Daughters (season 7), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 16:53, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
What do you mean by "image taken from television"? Do you mean it's a screenshot you took yourself? Did you download this image from a website? --Geniac (talk) 17:47, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- Television screenshots are not free images unless you can prove otherwise. I've corrected the license tag, but you'll have to provide a rationale for this image. --Geniac (talk) 14:28, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Michala.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Michala.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 14:28, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Redirect of McLeod's Daughters episode articles
[edit]Hello,
Just a quick note as to why I recently redirected the McLeod's Daughters episode articles: Second Chances (McLeod's Daughters Episode), Climb Every Mountain (McLeod's Daughters Episode), All The Wrong Places (McLeod's Daughters Episode) and Of Hearts And Hunters (McLeod's Daughters Episode).
They fail the notability guidelines for fiction (WP:FICT). The articles have very little info, and almost all consist totally of basic info and the plot of the episode. Individual season pages are created rather than individual episode pages. I recommend you make all your edits to the McLeod's Daughters season pages (eg. McLeod's Daughters (season 7)) rather than creating new pages. All the data in the episode articles could have (and has) been put in the episode tables. And if you really want to create individual episode pages, at least complete the episode table fully and then create the individual page. To meet the notability guidelines, the article must have plenty of real-world info such as "design, development, reception and cultural impact". But, until the season pages are complete, please refrain from creating new episode pages.
Thankyou :) Daniel99091 (talk) 07:07, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Michala.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Michala.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:28, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Season 3.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Season 3.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by an adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 15:43, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Image use in McLeod's Daughters
[edit]Hello,
I just have a few points in regards to your use of non-free images in the McLeod's Daughters article:
- The images you uploaded have been incorrectly licensed. You claim that they are completely your own work. This is obviosuly incorrect. You need to list where you got the image from, add a summary of the image and add a rationale for every article the image is used in.
- On Wikipedia, non-free images (images you didn't completely make yourself) are only allowed to be included if they significantly add to the informativeness and educational appeal of the article they are used in (see WP:FUI 8). Image galleries of images, like the one you added to the McLeod's Daughters article have no place in Wikipedia as it was just used as a decoration. I have removed the entire gallery and I expect that the images will all be deleted shortly.
Thankyou, and please read WP:FUI before you upload any more images.

Image copyright problem with Image:McLeod's Daughters Cast 2007.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:McLeod's Daughters Cast 2007.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 06:18, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Stevie Hall Ryan
[edit]A tag has been placed on Stevie Hall Ryan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Copyright Violations
[edit]Hello,
Just a quick note regarding your recent edit to the McLeod's Daughters article. You added a sizeable number of paragraphs of text from another website, regarding the return of the television series in question to television. This is not allowed on Wikipedia. You cannot simply "copy and paste" text from a website and place it on Wikipedia. This is theft of somebody else's hard work and will not be tolerated on Wikipedia. Please refrain.
Thankyou, and if you have any questions, I would be happy to help.
