Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Boston Bruins do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia.
Your edit here to Boston Bruins was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuZCtbHWoS4) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 18:03, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Boston Bruins. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please accept my apologies, I have had a Wiki account for a few years now, and this is my first attempt to add to a page. I got the first message that indicated that I could not include a YouTube external link, so I removed it as I wish to comply with the rules of the road here. I did not realize upon resubmission that the other link would also be a problem. I would very much like to include the information of "Let's Go Bruins! Let's Go!" as it is the most specific fan song that has ever been written for the team. Before I add the information to the article again, are there any other things you could help me with to make sure that all is in compliance with the existing content? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.--Mblak (talk) 19:10, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Honestly, at this point, there really isn't a legitimate way for this video to be added at this time. As an encyclopedia, our mandate is to cover only what is covered by reliable sources. Unless your video gains that coverage, it isn't appropriate for a Wikipedia article. Resolute 20:12, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I do not need to add the video, I would be happy just to add the written portion of the information sans links. With that intention, do you see any problems with the few lines of text that I composed? Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter! --Mblak (talk) 20:57, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Ravenswing- I understand what you are saying. I guess we will all have to sit back and wait until the song gains more momentum. It is going extremely well out of the gate as the preview video is gaining huge strides in playcounts and downloads on iTunes are ramping up nicely. Thank you again for your input, and hopefully one day there will be the proper foundation for the song info to be included on Wiki. Cheers! --Mblak (talk) 03:37, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
