Wikipedia edit-a-thon at UNC-Chapel Hill
[edit]Hi, Mbegali -
I heard from a member of the Wikimedia Foundation that you're teaching a Wikipeda-related course this semester. Was wondering if you and your students would have any interest in attending a Wikipedia edit-a-thon at UNC-Chapel Hill on Sunday, April 14, from 1-5 p.m. We'll meet in Wilson Library and work on creating and improving articles related to African Americans in North Carolina.
Here's the link to our event page:http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/unc_edit-a-thon
If you have any questions or suggestions, or if you have any students who'd like to RSVP, you can contact us at edit.a.thon@unc.edu.
Hope to see you there - Czarinanc (talk) 21:01, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, again - Will we be seeing you or any of your students at Wilson Library this weekend for the "African Americans in NC" edit-a-thon? We're looking forward to it. Czarinanc (talk) 19:58, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
Course help
[edit]Hi! I've been well, how have you been? The token is given on your course page, you can see it because you're the instructor. It's all the way at the bottom, in the table that lists the course data. I can email it to you if you can't see it for whatever reason. To get feedback from other editors, you have a few options. You can of course ask me to review an article, which I'm happy to do. Another process you can use is Peer Review once it's in article space; you can also ask the other course ambassadors on the list of all of us for a review before the articles go into mainspace. I think they should post their articles by the start of April (I'm assuming you have ~8 weeks left as we do) in their sandbox (Special:Mypage/Sandbox) with the right formatting. That gives me and whoever else is reviewing time to offer suggestions before they port their articles to mainspace. Let me know if there's anything I can help with right now! All the best, Keilana|Parlez ici 02:31, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
- Hey, that sounds like a good idea. I'm happy to read over and review everybody's articles; that's why I'm here! I'll start looking tomorrow since that's when they're supposed to be done. Let me know if there's anything else I can do! Best, Keilana|Parlez ici 17:31, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
- That sounds good to me! :) Keilana|Parlez ici 23:03, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
