[edit]Hello, I'm CardboardLamp. I noticed that you recently removed content from NewBornTown without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to NewBornTown. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 12:53, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Mayzozo. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page NewBornTown, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 08:03, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
- May I know which part of the content is regarded as advertisements? As the content is majorly on the products that a company offers and the information only contains kay elements and background of the products. Thanks Mayzozo (talk) 06:56, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, phrases such as "a rich synthesis of gameplay" are promotional. Wikipedia should only state what reliable sources have said, with references. Do you have a connexion to the company? Tacyarg (talk) 07:57, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks Tacyarg, how about we only add the product names instead of the whole introduction of the products? Mayzozo (talk) 09:03, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- Can you confirm whether you have a connexion to the company? Thanks. Tacyarg (talk) 15:01, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
