You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abuse of editing privileges.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

You were given a final warning here. We do not exhaustively list staff members for every small town in the US. We don't even list "deputy clerks" for large cities. If you continue to disruptively edit after this block, the next block will be longer. OhNoitsJamie Talk 20:25, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, regarding your userpage, you don't WP:OWN the Riverdale page, regardless if you are a mayor, governor, or president. OhNoitsJamie Talk 20:27, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

The listing for the City of Riverdale page has included the top staff positions for years. We've just hired these two people who are the two main people at City Hall who deal with residents and other officials (besides the mayor). I see no reason to remove them from our Wikipedia page now. Decline reason:

Username has been changed but you need to address the concerns about your edits. What kind of editing will you engage in going forward if unblocked?only (talk) 01:44, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I explained several times that we don't exhaustively list staff in city/town boxes. We go by Wikipedia policies on Wikipedia, not by Riverdale policies. OhNoitsJamie Talk 20:34, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Three names is hardly an exhaustive list of staff. Can you provide me with a link to the Wikipedia policies for staff listings for cities. Actually, any guidelines you can provide for a city page on Wikipedia would be helpful in updating the page so it's an accurate reflection of what the City of Riverdale is actually like since the most recent information on the page (other than what I've updated) is only current as of 2018. Thank you. MayorOfRiverdale (talk) 20:38, 24 June 2020 (UTC) MayorOfRiverdale[reply]
Per this discussion and this one, the additional leader slots are intended main for edge cases, the example cited in this discussion being Canadian cities that have councils. The general consensus is that we only list a single leader. (A similar consensus was reached on school pages; only principal should be listed). OhNoitsJamie Talk 20:46, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I've been reminded of another policy; we don't permit role accounts, so this account is now blocked indefinitely. If you wish to edit from an account, you'll have to choose a username that doesn't imply a role (like an office, in this case). See our username guidelines.OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:39, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine. I'll delete the username. I wasn't aware of the policy regarding role accounts. Thanks for the info. MayorOfRiverdale (talk) 22:44, 24 June 2020 (UTC) MayorOfRiverdale[reply]
Okay, to delete the user page deleted, I need to be unblocked and in "good standing". Is that something you can do? MayorOfRiverdale (talk) 22:56, 24 June 2020 (UTC)MayorOfRiverdale[reply]
First, you'll need to choose a new username; once you've done that, this account can be renamed to a username that doesn't imply a role. Secondly, to be unblocked before this block expires, you'll need to agree to indicate that you understand WP:OWN and agree to stop adding non-notable names/roles to the Riverdale infobox per WP:NOT. OhNoitsJamie Talk 23:14, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I've submitted a request to have the username changed, no problem. I'll wait until that comes through and then we can move along with the rest. I'll have to re-review the guidelines again on the "non-notable names/roles" thing because it wasn't very clear to me - but I'm in the middle of my workday and there are lots of distractions. I'll try to review it in the morning when I'm fresh and we can finish getting this fixed. Thanks. MayorOfRiverdale (talk) 23:29, 24 June 2020 (UTC) MayorOfRiverdale[reply]
