Speedy deletion nomination of File:Telsimbanner.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Telsimbanner.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.
If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. fetchcomms☛ 16:05, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Turkish Federated State of Cyprus, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.cypnet.co.uk/ncyprus/history/republic/1975.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 12:21, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
Notice
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently copied or moved text from one page into Turkish Federated State of Cyprus. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to make a note in an edit summary at the source page as well. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 14:54, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
Licence removal
[edit]I removed the {{non-free stamp}} template you added to File:Selcuklu.gif because this is not a postage stamp image. I can't find the page this image is illustrated on so cannot advise you on what might be the appropriate licence template to use but the one you used is not right. Please add one so the file is not deleted. ww2censor (talk) 02:06, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Pasaport1.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Pasaport1.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 13:17, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Dervis Eroglu.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Dervis Eroglu.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 16:45, 22 April 2010 (UTC)

Expressions containing racial, national, or ethnic specifics and talk-pages/discussions
[edit]Hello. As I see you are a relatively unexperienced editor I'd like to inform you, that any comments, notes or expressions undersigning nationalities or ethnicities, races etc. are considered to be racial remarcs which are discouraged, to put it mildly, in Wikipedia. I wanted to note this as I noticed such comments on the Armenian Genocide page.
I'd also like to mark that talk-pages are not or simple comments, but for reading the discussions and participating in discussions for the article changes. Any other activities can be easily removed, if not taken for further action.
Be good, Aregakn (talk) 04:23, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

Multiple rule violations
[edit]You are currently involved in multiple vital rule violations:
1) Posting personal attacks and Harassments on my personal talk-page: [4], [5].
2) Restoring the same type of comments on my personal talk-page violating WP:DRRC trying to label me with a Badge of shame: [6].
3) Posting multiple xenophobic and racist comments not only on the personal but also article talk pages violating again WP:HA and WP:PA with labeling nationalities murderers etc.: [7], and continuously reverting the just deletion of those to and adding more racial/ethnic harassment: [8], [9], [10], [11]
4) You have violated the many sanctions of Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan_2 the warning about which is in the very first line of the talk-page and the WP:3RR with your behavior.
These kind of actions may lead to a permanent block as described in Wikipedia:No_personal_attacks#Blocking_for_personal_attacks and other above mentioned. Aregakn (talk) 00:33, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Kuzey Kibris Turkcell
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
A tag has been placed on Kuzey Kibris Turkcell, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of Kuzey Kibris Turkcell and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Everard Proudfoot (talk) 06:30, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Kktcell.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Kktcell.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. The article Visa requirements for Northern Cypriot citizens has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- I removed already much factually incorrect info (see arguments in the comment-line of the removals). The data that remains is only sourced by the (for the rest incorrect) source and it therefore not reliable. In fact that source tells something on acceptance of the passport; not on visa free entry with it. What remains is such a short article (visa free to Turkey) that it can be best removed. Visa free entrance to Turkey can be a single-line statement in the corresponding passport article
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. L.tak (talk) 14:25, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. I was wondering if you'd be interested in setting up Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Turkey), based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). Now it's not a contest in itself, it's designed to motivate people to inspire others to improve content and build something which demonstrates the hard work going into the country which is visible. The focus is more on quality improvements but new articles are welcome too. Eventually a Turkish National Contest could be created to fuel it, like Wikipedia:Awaken the Dragon, in which contestants can choose to keep the Amazon vouchers themselves to buy their own books for more articles or put them into book fund to help editors further improve Turkish-related topics by giving them the books they want. It will begin though as purely an improvement drive. If interested, or you think anybody else might be interested, alert them and sign up on the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Turkey talk page at the bottom. Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 14:12, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:22, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
