Great edit. [1]. Welcome to Wikipedia.Malke2010 21:42, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

Thanks for deciding to contribute to Wikipedia. However you should be aware that it is forbidden to create an article about yourself, or any organization you represent. You are strongly discouraged from editing articles about organizations you represent. If you want to write about yourself then you can do so at your user page - however even there you should write only things relevant to your contributions to Wikpedia, and must not use it for promotion of anything. Please see the Wikipedia:Help desk if you have any questions. DJ Clayworth (talk) 20:22, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Move request

[edit]

I thought your draft article (here) looked ready, until I saw that it appears you are a key member of the organization. I plan to remove the request to move this article into article space, please let me know if my assumption is mistaken.--SPhilbrickT 16:16, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct, I do work for the organization. I tried to write it from an objective place. I apologize for the inconvenience and would sincerely appreciate any advice moving forward. Thank you. --User:maustinjames

COI

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.   Will Beback  talk  20:15, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
