Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Fawkner Secondary College. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. -- Shadowlynk (Talk) 08:06, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well I am the Vice President of Fawkner Secondary College's SRC. I was in the middle of trying to link the source because the information about the school that I posted was from our website. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mattycraft (talkcontribs)

It's important not to directly copy the text from your website. Wikipedia is licensed under the GFDL, and to directly use the website's text you'd have to release it under that license. Paraphrasing and citing it, of course, is just much easier. -- Shadowlynk (Talk) 08:20, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of "Sketched Neo"

[edit]

A page you created, Sketched Neo, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a website, but it does not indicate how it is important or significant, and thus why it should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for websites in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Faradayplank (talk) 09:37, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:4D TRAIN.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation.  SEO75 [talk] 08:23, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
