Disambiguation link notification for March 10
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Plymouth XNR, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ford Falcon. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Dear Mattew, thanks for looking at the Beauty.AI page. I added new links from Wired and other notable sources that the other editor wanted to see. Can you please take a look at the page? It has been in review for a very long time. https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Draft:Beauty.AI

Proposed deletion of Nitro Nation Online
The article Nitro Nation Online has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Run-of-the-mill racing game. Reads like an advert, really.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Calton | Talk 12:51, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
Nomination of Nitro Nation Online for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Nitro Nation Online is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Calton | Talk 09:53, 19 March 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Dinghanliang/sandbox
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Dinghanliang/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. thanks for your comments and help
I found your comments helpful. Thank you for your interest. I will look out a photo as I know I have some taken of show winning sheep. Synopticus (talk) 20:00, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
- Hello @Synopticus: sounds good, photos are great! You can just upload them to Wikimedia Commons if you're willing to release the photo under Creative Commons license (it's all explained at the site). To fix the two issues tagged at the top of your article, there are links in the tags to guides to fix "orphan" and "underlinked". That aside, you just want more sourcing to credible/neutral sources, ideally not ones promoting the breed but rather disinterested experts observing the breed from afar and commenting on it. Feel free to drop by my Talk if you have questions. MatthewVanitas (talk) 20:25, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
Lang-sk is Slovak not Sanskrit (which is lang-sa)
I corrected your "lang-sk" to "lang-sa" at Damaru. If that was just an isolated typo please ignore what follows, but since I saw you often contribute to Indian articles, and just in case you've used "lang-sk" elsewhere thinking it referred to Sanskrit, I thought it worth pointing out that "lang-sk" is Slovak, not Sanskit, which is "lang-sa". Cheers. Basemetal 16:54, 26 March 2017 (UTC) PS: The Sanskrit transliteration at Damaru is not correct. The first consonant is a retroflex 'd' and if you want the nominative (although I don't know what the convention is here) you wanna end the form with a visarga: in Harvard-Kyoto that would be "DamaruH". I'd correct it myself if I knew where to find the diacritics, but I don't have time to look for them now. Cheers again. Basemetal 17:08, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
Huayi Lin (SLU) user page
Hi Matthew,
I tried to submit a profile page of myself, and I received your message as this: "Is this your user page about yourself, or are you trying to submit a biography encyclopedia article about yourself? If it's a user page, let me know and I can move it to the right place for you. If you're trying to write an article about yourself, that's not going to work. See WP:Autobiography." This is my user page, so would you move it to the right place for me? Thank you very much!
Best wishes,

- @Huayi Lin (SLU): your userpage is now correctly placed at User:Huayi Lin (SLU). Please do not submit it as an AFC draft, as that is not necessary for user pages. MatthewVanitas (talk) 09:31, 27 March 2017 (UTC)

Before that, I was't really sure about what you guys are looking for, so I keep making the same mistake without realising the main problem. Cause I've already change the whole format of the article and using more site citation that is more to what you guys suggested me to, like New York Times blog. I do hope that I still get the chance to submit it one more time. Thank you, hope to see your reply!
British Berrichon
Matthew, I am puzzled. The page I started about British Berrichon sheep has been praised - but when I click the link it goes straight back to the original Berrichon page and the new material doesn't seem to be there any more. I started the new page as I felt that the British sub-breed was now significant on its own and merited an entry. Have I done something wrong? Thanks S — Preceding unsigned comment added by Synopticus (talk • contribs) 13:22, 1 April 2017 (UTC)
- (Stalker comment) It was redirected, apparently because DEFRA doesn't recognise the British Berrichon as a separate breed. See the edit summary here Haploidavey (talk) 13:45, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

About Removal of unrelative sentence from Page Gaud saraswat brahmin
Hi,
I have removed some sentence which is against definition of mythology.
mythology mɪˈθɒlədʒi/Submit noun a collection of myths, especially one belonging to a particular religious or cultural tradition. "tales from Greek mythology" synonyms: myth(s), legend(s), folklore, folk tales, folk stories, lore, tradition, stories, tales; technicalmythos
As you can see the difference,Mythology just need reference if it can be analysed/proved we call it as history/fact. Ex.Greek mythology.
Here lord parashuram is termed as still alive as per inscriptions but we cannot prove that's why we term it as myth not history.Since in India caste is very sensitive issue so i have deleted these sentence.
If u still have query feel free to message me else felt correct that's fine.

Draft:Charter Oak Unified School District
Hi MatthewVanitas. You declined Draft:Charter Oak Unified School District, but Charter Oak Unified School District has existed since 2006. Perhaps the person working on the draft is unaware that such an article already exists and that they should try and improve the existing article instead of creating a new one. Anyway, the draft seems unnecessary so I'm wondering if it there's an equivalent to WP:A10 for drafts. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:20, 14 April 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Red Devil Lye
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Red Devil Lye requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hi you recently accepted the above draft article but the referencing technique used by the author seems to me to be, to say the least, anarchique. I just spent about an hour cleaning up and converting the references one of their other articles and I just wondered if you were OK with the referencing methods that this editors uses if so I won't bother trying to clean it up. i left them a message suggesting that they read Help:Referencing for beginners but then I had second thoughts seeing that you approved their article as is and taking into account your experience as an editor. New Page Reviewer Newsletter
Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 18,511 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a a day.
- Some editors are committing to work specifically on patrolling new pages on 15 July. If you have not reviewed new pages in a while, this might be a good time to be involved. Please remember that quality of patrolling is more important than quantity, that the speedy deletion criteria should be followed strictly, and that ovetagging for minor issues should be avoided.
Technology update:
- Several requests have been put into Phabractor to increase usability of the New Pages Feed and the Page Curation toolbar. For more details or to suggest improvements go to Wikipedia:Page Curation/Suggested improvements
- The tutorial has been updated to include links to the following useful userscripts. If you were not aware of them, they could be useful in your efforts reviewing new pages:
- User:Lourdes/PageCuration.js adds a link to the new pages feed and page curation toolbar to your top toolbar on Wikipedia
- User:The Earwig/copyvios.js adds a link in your side toolbox that will run the current page through
General project update:
- Following discussion at Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers, Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Noticeboard has been marked as historical. Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers is currently the most active central discussion forum for the New Page Patrol project. To keep up to date on the most recent discussions you can add it to your watchlist or visit it periodically.

I have read about this controversy and wanted to see it covered on Wikipedia. Today was the first time I saw that anyone had done any work on it, after I saw an article on the web site of a newspaper I read. I ask you to look at my work on the draft (I told the author of the draft, who has done nothing since March and shows "semi-retired" on their talk page).— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 18:46, 26 June 2017 (UTC)
- There's way more now, and once I can find it, I have been pointed to a positive story about the church. There are two sections that are neutral. The average person may not approve of their rules, but they are not necessarily bad.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 22:27, 29 June 2017 (UTC)
- You never responded so I went ahead and finished it. While independent reliable sources are short on positive information (what I thought was a positive article was yet another article about abuse allegations) and the article is overwhelmingly negative, I think it's ready for article space and others can contribute and improve it. There's no shortage of positive information about the group on its own web site and other sites related to the group. How much of that we can use I don't know.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 16:27, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
Remove derogatory lines from Nair page
As per Wikipedia editors, they never consider the details of Raj era. Then may I know why derogatory information such as Polygamy, Hypergamy, Thallikettu kalyanam, sambandham etc are included in the page. Those were practices of Raj era. Take Wikipedia serious. Its not a place to put your views and suggestions. Either go with the rule that no old Raj era customs will be included or take consensus from other editors and add non derogatory customs and prides of these caste and elaborate the page. Apparently it look like few has taken the control of few pages like Nair, Ezhava etc and I have seen you using derogatory statements in Ezhava as well.
Remove the derogatory line in Nair article. ""These people were then distinguished from others in the local population by their occupation as protectors, with the others all being classed as out-caste. Pullapilly describes that this meant they "... were given kshatriya functions, but only shudra status. Thus originated the Nairs."" — Preceding unsigned comment added by AbrahamPP (talk • contribs) 11:44, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
Submission by Furious.lion declined on 3 November 2016 by MatthewVanitas
Dear MatthewVanitas,
I have been editing Draft:Oktay_Arslan page and need some guidance for how to proceed. At an earlier date, you asked me to add more serious media and/or academic coverage of Arslan. I have edited the reference section and added several 3rd party sources such TV channels CNN Türk, newspapers, magazines that cite Oktay Arslan's work and resubmitted the page for your review. However, I've got the following comment by User talk:SwisterTwister.
- Comment: The news, although from major publications, won't be enough by that alone. SwisterTwister talk 21:49, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
Why will the news not be enough by that alone? If you check the Kurdish_scientists page, you will see that there are only a handful of people. I totally agree that Draft:Oktay_Arslan is not as notable/popular as Nicki_Minaj because she has different assets, but I don't understand how Draft:Oktay_Arslan is less important/notable compare to other Kurdish scientists/engineers such as Azad_Bonni, Nadir_Nadirov. Draft:Oktay_Arslan has similar successful academic background like others, works at a leading research institution and hence deserves to be mentioned on Wikipedia, in my humble opinion.
Regards,
