Your submission at Articles for creation: Hangry Barboons (November 6)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by KylieTastic was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia.
KylieTastic (talk) 15:13, 6 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
To say that the Hangry Barboons is a topic that is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia is hypocritical. If the Bored Ape Yatch Club has its own wiki page, then so should the Hangry Barboons. Hedera Hashgraph is a 3rd generation type "blockchain" and is not as widely used as Ethereum (Bored Apes blockchain). Hangry Barboons are the leading NFT on Hedera Hashgraph and is very notable for crypto in general. Lastly, after 4 rejected submissions for reasons other than notability, why is this being denied just now, the 5th time, for lack of notability? Why wasn't it dismissed the first time? I appeal this decision based on the fact that this is the most notable NFT on Hedera Hashgraph to date. Hangry Barboons is to Hedera as Bored Apes is to Ethereum. Just because Bored Apes sell for hundreds of thousands is not a reason for denial. 97.95.165.152 (talk) 23:55, 6 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Matthew.hbar. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Matthew.hbar. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Matthew.hbar|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 07:45, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I do not in any way work for Hangry Barboons. In fact, I work for the Federal Government. I refuse and cannot disclose that to the public for my safety. I would hope you all would understand that. Thank you. Matthew.hbar (talk) 13:48, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose discretionary sanctions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Remember to log in before posting. You declared a COI. What is the nature of it? 331dot (talk) 18:07, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I declared a COI because my prior submission was denied for not having one. That is the only reason I submitted it. I do own a Hangry Barboon NFT in my digital wallet, but I in no way work for the organization. I will happily remove the COI declaration if needed. Matthew.hbar (talk) 18:14, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, but why the ".hbar" in your username, which suggests a deeper connection than just a customer? 331dot (talk) 19:03, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
matthew.hbar is my digital wallet address on the Hedera Hashgraph blockchain. It would be like a matthew.eth wallet address on the Ethereum blockchain. You can send crypto to matthew.hbar. It is not related to Hangry Barboons at all. Its essentially my digital identity. If your not into crypto, you will see in about 5 years when the world finances goes digital. matthew.hbar will be my bank account #. Matthew.hbar (talk) 19:22, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I think the COI declaration may still be needed, but you're okay otherwise. 331dot (talk) 19:39, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Do I need to resubmit a new contribution? or what is my next step? Its not letting me submit another edit. Matthew.hbar (talk) 22:38, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You resubmitted the draft. Is that what you mean? 331dot (talk) 22:48, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, thanks. Matthew.hbar (talk) 22:53, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You can still edit it(if needed) even after you submit it. 331dot (talk) 22:58, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am good. I have nothing else to add at this time. Matthew.hbar (talk) 23:00, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
