If you really feel that this is justified, you should look into the process described at WP:AfD. However, before we continue this conversation, let me ask you this: why do you think that all mention of anyone named Andrew Slattery, except for the race car driver, should be removed from Wikipedia? I fear that you have misunderstood a policy along the way.

Ah. Indeed, you have misunderstood.

That link described why the article about a poet called Andrew Slattery was deleted. This does 'not' mean that any and all reference to a poet named Andrew Slattery should be removed from all Wikipedia articles. All that an AfD means is that the poet was not considered notable enough to have a whole article about him. That doesn't mean we're going to pretend he doesn't exist from here on out. Where he's mentioned in other articles, as long as it's sourced, we leave that alone. If there's a red link, you take away the link, but leave it as black text. We deleted an article from our encyclopedia. We didn't delete a person from history. --Moralis (talk) 07:56, 30 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly, but don't jump right to it, and don't do it by blanking the page or going straight to speedy deletions. Check out the guidelines for disambiguation pages and proceed with caution. One way or another, we need to make sure it's acknowledged that Andrew Slattery, the race car driver, is not Andrew Slattery, the poet who somebody's read about in another article, nor are either of them Andrew Slattery, the screenwriter, mentioned in yet another article.

One way we could handle that would be to keep the disambiguation page, and simply leave the other two entries as black text without an article link. Page names could be shuffled around after that so that the racing driver would be the default result, with a link. Another option would be to include something at the top of the racing driver's article along the lines of, "Not to be confused with the Australian poet or the screenwriter". No matter what, we should take it a step at a time, and tie the whole thing together without deleting content from other articles.
