Welcome!

Hello, Matt Stange, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Diamond Dreams, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Logan Talk Contributions 01:21, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Diamond Dreams, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. February 2011

[edit]

Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Diamond Dreams. There is a Manual of Style, edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. Wikipedia is not an appropriate place for promotion of businesses RadioFan (talk) 02:01, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Diamond Dreams, to Wikipedia, as doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Wikipedia:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. RadioFan (talk) 02:02, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, this article did have to be deleted, as it was in effect a promotion for its subject. However, I saw that you'd asked for help, so in addition to the links given above in the welcome message (which I strongly encourage you to read), I would especially encourage you to keep in mind the following:

I hope that helps to clear up why the article was deleted, and how to better write future articles. If there are sufficient sources available to write about Diamond Dreams, you still can write the article, so long as it meets the standards of notability (having been noted extensively by multiple reliable sources unrelated to it), and neutrality (written in a dispassionate tone which neither serves to promote nor attack the subject). If you have questions on how to do this, please feel free to ask. Seraphimblade Talk to me 08:13, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
