Hello, I'm Tgeairn. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Francis Howell North High School, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Tgeairn (talk) 00:41, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Francis Howell North High School shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Message left on my talk page

[edit]

In regards to the message left on my talk page, we don't add people to notable lists because we feel sorry for them, we add people because they are actually notable and supported by references to reliable sources. I believe that User:C.Fred has already tried to explain this to you. Cmr08 (talk) 09:25, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Matt, I'll be more blunt. C.Fred has more patience than I do. I don't know whether you're an immature student or a troll or both, but I will block you indefinitely if you continue to pester other editors about inane things, or if you disrupt the high school article or any other article again. This is your only warning.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:46, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Acroterion (talk) 02:29, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]

Acroterion, Please unblock me as I have crucial legitimate edits to make. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MattS25 (talkcontribs)

Can you give an example of one of these edits, so we can evaluate your request? Make sure to specify what reliable source your edit is based on. —C.Fred (talk) 20:00, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm looking more heavily in to sources on Jared Myers and will not edit until I find a 100% reliable source. https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Brandon_Bollig this link shows that Brandon Bollig is currently a player with the Calgary flames and this change must be reflected in the Francis Howell North Notable Alumni section.(MattS25 (talk) 20:07, 15 September 2014 (UTC))[reply]

http://espn.go.com/nhl/player/_/id/5766/brandon-bollig this link as well(MattS25 (talk) 20:08, 15 September 2014 (UTC))[reply]

According to what source is Bollig an alumnus? He was born in St. Charles, but I don't see anything at ESPN or his Wikipedia article that says he attended Howell North. —C.Fred (talk) 20:15, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

For the record, I did not add Brandon Bollig to the notable alumni. But http://www.hockeystopnews.com/blackhawks-bollig-living-the-dream/ and http://www.stltoday.com/sports/hockey/professional/bollig-can-be-first-player-from-st-louis-area-to/article_3f95a453-f1e9-512d-bf62-c4bb1676a9a1.html support the alumnus claim. (MattS25 (talk) 20:18, 15 September 2014 (UTC))[reply]

The Bollig source looks good (St. Louis Today); I don't have time to update the article right now. I'll look again this evening, and I'll say this openly to any other admins looking in: this user is showing that he understands WP:V and WP:RS, and that he's willing to abide by them. A second chance may be in order. —C.Fred (talk) 20:27, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I feel bad about my wrong ways. Since my edits tend to be a bit radical in the future if unblocked I will propose them on the articles talk pages first to avoid any conflict. (MattS25 (talk) 20:38, 15 September 2014 (UTC))[reply]
