- I see the project is creating entries for genes. Wikipedia isn't a database, it is an encyclopedia. These need to be written as encyclopedia articles, if only tiny ones, so that anyone who happens on the article can understand it. These articles need context. Many projects do this. For example people are adding entries for every species of plant and animal. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Plants. Most of these articles are very short but anyone can understand them. The projects have created nice templates to organize information. See Saintpaulia goetzeana or Bivitellobilharzia nairi on the animal side. Work out some simple wording that you can use in the lead paragraphs (Wikipedia's summary sections). Happy editing. StarryGrandma (talk) 07:11, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
