Tips for your drafts
[edit]Hi there, I wanted to offer a couple of tips to help with your draft:
- Pick a draft and work on that one, it'll get confusing otherwise. Let me know which one you choose and we can delete the other one.
- Remove any content not cited to a reliable source (Wikipedia isn't a reliable source, nor are blogs like the Wordpress source, nor is his own autobiography), this type of content detracts from the rest of the article more than you think.
- His autobiography is a primary source. Wikipedia is a tertiary source and summarizes what reliable, secondary sources say. One or two small bits from his autobiography are OK as quotes, but the article should mainly be summarized from secondary sources. In a nutshell, we're looking for content summarized from journalistic sources that aren't directly connected to him.
- Find at least one or two more reliable sources and summarize some more meaningful content from them.
- Remember that less is more, be succinct in summarizing the sources. It's perfectly OK if the article is short, if your references are good. I know you have a lot to say and that Mr. Wiener
- I think this has some potential, but it's not quite there yet.
I hope this helps. I know you've worked hard on this for quite a while, I'd like to see it bear fruit. I'll try to keep an eye on this and see if I can't help further, but I'm pretty busy. Best wishes! Waggie (talk) 01:42, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
