License tagging for Image:Maruf42, wikipedian.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Maruf42, wikipedian.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:06, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I removed the resumé from your userpage. This isn't the place to host that kind of thing. Take care. --Improv 19:13, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Logo ndc.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Logo ndc.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 12:32, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo ub.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Orphaned non-free image File:Logo ub.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Logo ub.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 03:07, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Avatar (2009 film). Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. -- Doniago (talk) 14:06, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

TTTFFF listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect TTTFFF. Since you had some involvement with the TTTFFF redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Notecardforfree (talk) 11:28, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
