Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, MarotiKorwate. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page MK News Line, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ~Amkgp 07:41, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on MK News Line, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Warning: Please stop trying to promote your online information outlet

[edit]

You appear to have joined Wikipedia in order to promote an online newspaper of which you are an 'editor', and to insert links into articles to that newspaper. Please stick to the day job and stop trying to promote your business here. We may regard this as spam-linking and block you from editing if you continue. Information icon Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your image was inserted successfully on the page Omprakash Babarao Kadu, but because it appeared to be irrelevant to the article or violated the image use policy, it has been reverted or removed. Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Amit Bhadana—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 13:16, 5 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Promotional editing

[edit]

Edits like this are indistinguishable from promotional editing. See WP:ELNO and adhere to our guidelines. If we already have a link to an official social media presence or website, which we do in the infobox, then we don't need any external links section. We're not here to promote article subjects or drive people to their social media outlets. If that's what you are here for, stop it. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:43, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Amit Bhadana. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 11:33, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kumar Kushagra, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bokaro. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:04, 14 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ujwal Kulkarni moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Ujwal Kulkarni, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). In addition the subject doesn't pass the general notability guidelines. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
