Ways to improve Satabank

[edit]

Hi, I'm Pythoncoder. Marketeam3, thanks for creating Satabank!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please do not submit promotional content to Wikipedia.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Satabank. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. — pythoncoder  (talk | contribs) 11:52, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Marketeam3. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, and that you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Marketeam3. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Marketeam3|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. — pythoncoder  (talk | contribs) 13:59, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello pythoncoder. I'm not receiving, nor expecting to receive compensation for my edits. I received the request from your side to add more references as the one I had initially provided were marked as not being of satisfactory amount and therefore, I decided to amend and add more references. User:Marketeam3 14:38, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for your prompt response. Welcome to Wikipedia! — pythoncoder  (talk | contribs) 16:23, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
And thank you for your advice. User:Marketeam3 07:14, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Article moved to draft

[edit]

Hello, I have moved Satabank to Draft:Satabank as the page is tagged as a misplaced AfC submission.--SamHolt6 (talk) 15:12, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello SamHolt6. Thank you for your help with my first article. I'll edit the articles in draft mode from now on. User:Marketeam3 07:14, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

. I just saw that my account has been blocked indefinitely as it has been marked “as a sock puppet of Zenminded”. I really have no idea who Zenminded is. I log in from my workplace and the building that I work in has more than 3k people in it from different companies. Could you please advise if there’s any way to activate my account again as I don’t see how my actions or edits could have lead to that? Thank you in advance.

Decline reason:

And that Dimivn, who was found to be technically indistinguishable from you, shows quite an interest in Satabank [1][2][3], on which you were writing a draft, is entirely a coincidence? Sorry, I don't think so. Huon (talk) 08:05, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Huon, Sorry, but who is Dimivn, I thought there was some problem with Zenminded, because that's what says in my account. And for that part of your answer with the quoted 3 links, the page I added was first published then moved to drafts maybe that guy made those edits at that time when it was published and I didn't see them because there are no edits on my page, but edits on other pages. Like I said there a tons of people here, maybe he/she saw that my page is published. I'll stop using this network as soon as my block is lifted as I strongly believe that I follow all the guidelines.

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

See WP:Sockpuppet investigations/Zenminded. Your account was found to be technically indistinguishable from several others, including both Zenminded and Dimivn. Now we have to consider whether it's more likely that the person who first notices the article you've written, within a few minutes of creation, is totally unrelated to you but happens to work in the same building (and CheckUser results are more detailed than that anyway) or whether it's more likely that this is a coordinated effort - maybe by a marketing team? You can use the {{unblock}} template again to ask another admin to review the block; I remain opposed. Huon (talk) 09:15, 30 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Satabank, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
