Yes, that works for me! I hadn't had time to get back to that issue (was still on my radar), as was busy working on other things. If you want to create it, great; otherwise when I get a chance I will. I had made a list of the old members so hopefully none will be missing.
Also, do you know what were the exact charges for the various imprisonments of Corretjer? Did he serve time in the U.S., or only in the Island, or both? I don't see that mentioned in the article. By curiosity, do you know what was his background? His last name is quite unusual and I am not sure he left an offspring. Regards, Mercy11 (talk) 02:37, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Puerto Rico Campaign
Is it is a true statement to say that Ponce was the only place during the PR Campaign where the campaign saw ground forces that approached both by land and by sea? (really via ALL existing means at the time, given that there were no air capabilities yet.) I got the thought after reading the NRHP nomination form for Ponce's Antiguo Cuartel Militar Español de Ponce. What do you think? Guayama may also experienced something similar, but suspect it wasn't a coordinated strike as Ponce's was. Ponce was the largest city in PR at the time of the invasion, so it fall represented a major military and moral victory to the Americans. Your thughts? An article I created William Riefkohl is being nominated for deletion could you help me out. A simple google search proves he appears in pr newspaper in a monthly if not weekly basis, I would not have had created the article if I did not consider him notable. Hi Tony, This article is very close to being awarded GA-status. The WP:Lead needs a minor expansion, and the citations need a small amount of work. After that, its a GA. I'm sorry of the delay in getting thus far. Pyrotec (talk) 20:43, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. It is not a mandatory requirement, but you could use the template {{cite web}}. Otherwise, you could also use ref 1 or 2 as a "template" and just copy in the relevant fields. Pyrotec (talk)
- Hi Tony, I've edited and slightly rearranged your new Lead. I'm happy with these changes, so I'll be passing the article. But just a small point, you seem to start the article (the Lead) with a citation, but its not a reference for anything. It looks odd. Pyrotec (talk) 20:15, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

List of Puerto Ricans
Tony, tell those people to email me if they have a qualm. All articles I add have internal references. There shouldn't be a need to add references when the reader knows that the entry is a bonafide Puerto Rican (e.g. Ricky, Martin, Jennier Lopez, etc.). That's why I don't add them and won't add them to the list.--XLR8TION (talk) 01:46, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
Audio/Video
I love the ide aof having multimedia links to articles. I only have been able to look up photos I have taken or documents I have. I still have to scan my PR citizenship document. Once I have it scanned, I will post it to show those disbelievers that it does exist. I can't wait when Fortuno gets kicked out of office. He is a big failure and things in PR are getting worst crime-wise. The good thing is that British Airways will start non-stops from London to San Juan in March. That should bring in more tourist dollars. Iberia has a non-stop from Madrid, and Virgin Atlantic has flights also to San Juan. More direct links brings Puerto Rico closer to other parts of the world.--XLR8TION (talk) 03:56, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
Hello Tony, I came here for the same reason to compliment you as well on the Audio/Video. I was wondering if it's possible for you to include a sample file on Contra La Corriente since it's really close to getting reviewed (#2 on the Music list as of this message). I think that might it be useful. Magiciandude (talk) 07:30, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

Audio links and copyright
Hi Tony, I noticed that you added a YouTube link to José Feliciano's rendition of "Light My Fire", one of my very favourite recordings. Don't get me wrong: I love audio and video links and I know that, when used correctly, they can add something special to an article. However, according to external links guidelines, users should take care not to link to copyright violations, especially on YouTube, which is unfortunately full of them. I can't find any evidence that the link on "Light my Fire" does not violate the copyright of the recording artists. I'm familiar with your great work on Puerto Rican articles, and I'm frankly surprised that you'd do something like this. Have you received permission from somewhere to add these links? The only permissible way to include audio of modern works in Wikipedia articles is to use music samples, unless you can find an officially sanctioned recording on the Internet. To get more opinions about adding external links, see the external links noticeboard. Graham87 01:34, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

Protection of Nicky Cruz
I see you protected Nicky Cruz, but it looks like it was only after one instance of vandalism by an anonymous user. Could you explain the protection, please? --Bsherr (talk) 13:51, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
- The article was not protected only because there was one incident of vandalism. If you review the articles history, you will see that the article has been a constant target of excessive vandalism in not only in the month of October, but all throughout. The protection status is necessary to discourage this type of behavior, however it will be uplifted in due time. Tony the Marine (talk) 22:14, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
- I see that, but why full protection and not semiprotection? --Bsherr (talk) 22:46, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

Puerto Rican Nationalism
Hi Marine! Check out this edit I made, and then this one by Jmundo.
I can see his point. But then, seems to me, what is missing in the encyclopedia is a "Puerto Rican nationalism series" that would bind together all of the articles that relate to Puerto Rican nationalism. That way, we don't end up with a situation like this one, where there is no link from the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party series to the Father of Puerto Rican Nationalism himself (Betances). What do you think? Regards, Mercy11 (talk) 03:52, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
Betances
Yes, of course, I was already in agreement with Jmundo's position - from his summary info observation. Now, do we just add the {{PRIndependence}} independence template to Betances's article? If so, it would have to be added to other bio articles as well...and also to some non-bio articles (such as Puerto Rican independence movement). Is this what you are suggesting? Thanks. - and thanks to Jmundo for his/her observation. Mercy11 (talk) 13:28, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

Destilería Serrallés, the Category, not the article
Hi.
This >>> Category:Distilerias Serrallés <<< is not named correctly. There are three problems with its name: (1) The correct spelling has 2 e's (Destileria), not one "e" as it currently appears in the name (Distileria, is incorrect). (2) It is not "Destilerias" (plural), but "Destileria" (singular). (3) The category name as it appears now does not have the necessary diacritical marks that are part of that proper name (on the last "i" of "Destilería", and on the last "e" of "Serrallés"). As examples of these, please check HERE (on the rum drum barrel halfway down the page), HERE (on several places throughout the page, but especially at the very bottom of the page where the copyrights goes, in small letters), and HERE (viewed best if you zoom onto the bottom part of the rum bottle).
While renaming an article is easy, renaming a Category is not. However, there instructions to rename a category HERE.
I would like to rename it, but cannot make out the instructions. Maybe you would be willing to try it? - as you are more familiar with wikipedia stuff.
Regards, Mercy11 (talk) 23:32, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- Done??? wasn't that too quick? for example, the bottom of these (Ron Don Q, Serrallés Castle, Juan Serrallés, and Destilería Serrallés) are all in red, as if the category did not exist. I tried the purge function, but no cigar! Any ideas? Thanks, Mercy11 (talk) 00:04, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks! Either way you have left me "boquiabierto" (jeje). Gracias amigo! 00:43, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

For the time being though I am working on nothing, I haven't sought employment since graduating since to my reasoning other people need the jobs more than I do (I still live with my father and its usually his money I spend for food and luxuries) but not being in school at the moment leaves me free during the days. Nelson Antonio Denis
Tony,
Feliz Navidad y prospero año nuevo. I hope all is well.
I'm writing to ask your assistance with Nelson Antonio Denis. Under the guise of "good faith editing," the page has been savaged and butchered by two editors who are teaming up. They eliminated entire sections and over 20 newspaper citations, all of which were carefully sourced.
They even took out the Puerto Rico portal which YOU yourself created on thre page.
If you look at the page as it existed on December 12, 2010 you will see a balanced, well-researched article that had educational value -- with citations and newspaper references for every major point.
The editor Off2RioRob has had problems with administrators before, so he is teaming up with someone to destroy this page. The page has been up for over a year, with no major problems. Now in two or three hours, they came by and destroyed it.
If you have a chance, please take a look and provide some assistance. I cannot win an editing war against these people.
The article was fair and beautiful on December 12, 2010. Now it is a mess. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.57.39.35 (talk) 00:04, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
Tony, they destroyed the article AGAIN
Tony,
If there was any doubt about their "good faith editing," now you know for certain.
They reverted the article again right after you corrected it.
Then they said the edits were made "after a discussion on the talkpage." But this "discussion" was between two people -- Off2RioRob and his teammate Scotty Berg -- and this "discussion" occurred over a period of just two hours.
Then they butchered the article with no further "discussion" or input from anyone.
When you, an Adminsitrator restored the page, look at how they responded.
Now you see why I can't get into an "editorial war" with these people, because they are not dealing in good faith and simply want to destroy the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.57.39.35 (talk) 00:57, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- - I am an innocent neutral in this issue. Please tone it down a bit with the accusations. Off2riorob (talk) 01:02, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
@Marine: All changes were discussed and agreed to on the talk page, and were urgently needed to restore neutrality and remove the most egregious COI edits. I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but since you were last involved in this article, it was revealed in a sockpuppet investigation that this article was principally authored by the sockpuppet of an indefinitely blocked editor with an obvious connection, per user name, with the subject of the article. See WP:Sockpuppet investigations/Nelsondenis248. I'm sure that you would not want to act as a "proxy" for an indef banned editor, even unintentionally. The article is a mess, with multiple issues including peacock terminology and unsubstantiated text. Please don't revert the changes that have been made as explained, and agreed to, on the talk page. I am particularly distressed by your wholesale reversion of removals of totally unsubstantiated and extravagant claims made by this COI sock concerning the subject of this article, on the basis of this IP's complaint. (P.S. the claim by this IP that I'm a "teammate" of this editor is laughable. My only previous contacts with him were in the climate change articles, and I believe we were on opposite sides of that as I recall.) ScottyBerg (talk) 01:04, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
Notes re Nelson Antonio Denis - requires an Administrator
Tony,
What these twopeople are trying to do, is take ownership of an article. They are editing it, removing newspaper citations and official New York State publications, then defending this by attacking an editor rather than addressing the substance of the matter...the article itself.
As to "discussion" or "consensus," there is no "consensus" when it occurs between two editors over a period of two hours. That is an editorial hit-and-run.
As to Off2RioRob being an innocent bystander...the editorial history of this article, with nearly 100 edits from Off2RioRob, pretty much speaksfor itself.
Tony, I request that this page be examinedby other people and other Adminstrators if necessary, other than just TWO editors who decided to essentially the article, with no meaningful input from anyone else. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.57.39.35 (talk) 01:26, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- I suggest that you can take up the issue here: Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard. As for myself, my time is now very limited due to personal family and health issues. Tony the Marine (talk) 01:33, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- (ec) The newspaper citations do not support the text to which they were added, which make extravagant claims about this first-term assemblyman. The "legislative" citations, as with the authorship of this article in general, were added by a sock of an indefinitely banned editor. These can and should be removed on sight, are unverifiable, and certainly cannot be accepted on good faith. ScottyBerg (talk) 01:35, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
Hi. Was doing Random article patrol and came across this article which you appear to have contributed extensively to. As you're an admin you're probably aware of the recent issues over sourcing in BLPs (what with the unreferenced BLP drive and all), and this BLP has only three inline sources – one self-published and the other two I'm not sure if they'd count as WP:RS – and the personal life section has some contentious material that isn't explicitly backed up by inline sources. I was wondering if you could clear it up with better sourcing or clean up the article a bit to bring it more in line with current guidelines and policy (v.s. those from 2004). Re:dia del pavo
Hola mi hermano, because I would be offline most of the holidays, I wanted to say Feliz Navidad. Pa'lante como dice Corrtjer "La lucha nunca cesa. La vida es lucha toda por obtener la libertad ansiada. Lo demás es la nada, es superficie, es moda." --Jmundo (talk) 06:54, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Re:Feliz Navidad y un Prospero Año Nuevo
Igualmente, Marine.
May the powers that be grant you happiness, health, prosperity. Have a ton of fun this holiday season.
Thanks for the vid. I enjoyed it and watched it a couple of times. I think that Feliciano dude could have a future in music if he applies himself. :-) SamEV (talk) 23:52, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
Another personal milestone
Hey, Feliz Navidad y Propero y Saludable Año Nuevo!!! Just FYI, we were able to achieve GA status for Ponce Cathedral as shown HERE. This closes the year with at least 1 more GA in the PR Wikiproject list.... Thanks for all the tips and help along the way. Saludos, Mercy11 (talk) 17:23, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

I'm back
Hey Tony/everyone. The old PC finally died on me some time ago, but I got a brand new machine for Christmas. I should have something ready by January 7-9. In the meantime, I was wondering if we should merge Puerto Rico Air National Guard into Puerto Rico National Guard in order to make another "mega article"...
