look at my contributions please and edit them as best as you can thanks! --Maorisurfer 00:07, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like you're getting the hang of it. Just keep trying. Don't be discouraged if an article of yours gets deleted at firs, because that happens all the time with new users, and old users. Eventually, you'll be a pro at this. Just takes time. :).--andrewI20Talk 00:23, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Andrew --Maorisurfer 00:24, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Short Articles

[edit]

Hi Maorisurfer, I just happened to notice that you have created a number of very short articles of a sentence or less. Many of these are being deleted. Don't get discouraged, because we want your contributions, but if you could create articles of at least two or three sentences in length (preferrably longer) that would give some context, so that other editors could understand what the article is supposed to be about. Thanks, JChap2007 00:31, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay JChap --Maorisurfer 00:33, 31 October 2006 (UTC) three good sentences i will try.[reply]

As Lucky said above, "Hi". Hope you get the hang of creating articles longer than a few words quicker than, for instance, this user did a while back. Welcome. Tonywalton  | Talk 00:52, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Sint-Truidense VV, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to provide more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately, and also put a note on Talk:Sint-Truidense VV. An administrator should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 1 under Articles. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such material.--Fuhghettaboutit 00:35, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just some tips:

[edit]

Tonywalton said it best a couple of posts up. Let's do a fresh new start and let's do some longer articles than you have been creating. Take a look at some of Tony's articles. For that matter, take a look at some of mine. Here's one that you might find amusing: Crunchwrap Supreme. Yup. Taco Bell. Rescued that one earlier today. I rewrote it from the ground up in about ten minutes. You can do the same thing. I know you can. OK? In fact, I just had an idea. You take and expand this. Really. Do a Google search for "Crunchwrap Supreme" and see how much more info you can add. Call it a practice run before you start in on another new article. - Lucky 6.9 01:08, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Think twice about new articles

[edit]

I just deleted the articles Back alley and List of war tyrants for having no useful content. A quick glance at your talk page seems to indicate that others have asked you to cut this out also. Please, stop with the junk articles. Repeated posting of unhelpful content only makes other people clean up after you and could lead to you being blocked from editing. Friday (talk) 15:26, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]

I have blocked you from editing for 24 hours for repeated posting of junk articles. This is mainly so you understand that there's a reason people have been asking you to stop that. However I see another cause for concern- I don't know the story, but it looks like you're a reincarnation of a previously blocked editor. If there's a reason you should be blocked again permanently, perhaps someone who's familiar with the situation will do that. Friday (talk) 15:32, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't Worry

[edit]

I see that you've been blocked. I also noticed you've been blocked for a longer period on your old account. The good thing about wikipedia is that after your block is over, the allow you to create a new one, and put everything in the past. Don't be discouraged. We are all just trying to help, and make quality articles. If you need anymore help, just stop by my talk page after your talk page. Before you save a new article, you should put it on your user page, or a sub-user page, and expand it gradually over time. That advoids your contribs. being deleted. You're doing great. You'll just need to make your articles a tad bigger. Making stubs isn't thaat bad. Someone will find it, and expand it. That's the real beauty of wikipedia. Just make sure you write enough that it gives the readers information. Afterall, wikipedia is one of the top sites in the world. Happy editing. --andrewI20Talk 22:04, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Andrew you lifted my spirits. --Maorisurfer 14:11, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
