A bit strong

Just looking at my watchlist (articles that have had troubles before) and saw your edit with the immoderate edit summary

"Some one can not be "part" Maori. They either are Maori or they aren't. Saying someone is "part" Maori is a racist term."

If I said about myself that I am "part Swedish", would I be being racist? If it was said about me, would me getting my hackles up and loudly claiming "Saying someone is 'part' Swedish is a racist term" be reasonable? No.

Now if what you are upset at is someone saying a person is "part foo" or "tainted with znekdom" as opposed to normal (aka 'European'), then I guess I can imagine the cause of your upset. Though you would then have to be comfortable with your interpretation of what was intended. Is mention of some characteristic a slander or just an interesting aspect?

Anyway, can you find a better reference than some random sports page that claims "Māori heritage"? And who knows, he might be something weird on the other 'side', like Icelandic? I can't tell those island peoples apart... Shenme (talk) 01:39, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
