Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia, as you did in Delhi. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links as long as the content abides by our policies and guidelines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. -- Lost(talk) 12:54, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi Mate, Though I am the owner of the delhilive.com website, I believe it shoukd be included as a link in the wikipedia as like wikipedia, people are free to contribute pages, events etc on the site easlily. Also the way the site has been structured it becomes very easy for the people to find infomration in the right categories. Please let me know of you still consider otherwise. Manuj
- Hi Manuj, normally if an external link on wikipedia consists only of spam, its fairly easy to judge its removal.
- Here's what I suggest to you. Go through our guidelines on external links. Also go through what Wikipedia is not. Any information about Delhi that you feel may be lacking in the article, but is present on your website, consider adding it to the article instead of linking. However since this is not blatant spam, and if you feel you are still right in adding the link, just put the link on the talk page of Delhi and try to build consensus on adding the link. If other people feel that the website adds to the article in terms of knowledge and its not possible to add its content to the article, then they will add it for you. Else someone of the other is likely to remove the link everytime its reinstated.
- And while we are at it, here are a few India related links for you:
