Publishing drafts
[edit]When moving a draft to Mainspace, please make sure to perform proper clean up, including adding proper categories and tagging for major issues, at the very least. Please also check that the article title is correctly spelled and formatted in accordance with the WP:Article titles guideline. For drafts created under the Articles for Creation process, you should follow these manual reviewing instructions. While there's no actual proscription against any editor manually publishing a draft, some do frown upon relatively new editors doing so, so please make absolutely sure you know what you're doing. --Paul_012 (talk) 02:18, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
Oh, and a belated welcome to Wikipedia. Below is a standard welcome message with links to some useful pointers. --Paul_012 (talk) 02:21, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, @Paul 012, but I sometimes can’t follow the rules. The AFC reviewers are not fair; they seem to know these articles are clearly notable, yet I have seen them reject many without checking the sources. This could lead to a significant loss of Thai articles, and after six months, these draft articles are deleted and will be forgotten. Thanks for your welcome. ManoiCMU (talk) 03:06, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
- I wholly understand how frustrating it is that a lot of AFC reviewers tend to decline articles about clearly notable subjects just because of minor shortcomings. Of course, any editor in good standing is well within their rights to move a draft to Mainspace, whether or not they are registered as an AfC reviewer. What I'm asking of you is to take proper care in adding categories and checking for issues. You haven't categorised any of the articles you recently moved from draft. I can help if you need, but I would like to see that you're also able to do so yourself. --Paul_012 (talk) 13:17, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you so much... I'll try. ManoiCMU (talk) 13:48, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Paul 012, I just plan to work on deleted or expired Thai draft articles. Could you please help me find expired or rejected drafts from the Thai project? I would like to save them from being lost. Thank you! ManoiCMU (talk) 03:25, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
- For current drafts tagged with the WikiProject, including inactive/declined ones, you'll find their talk pages at Category:Draft-Class Thailand articles. For deleted drafts, there isn't really a proper logging system, but there are two ways to find them: You could look in the history of WP:WikiProject Thailand/Article alerts, which logs AfC submissions and accept/decline results under the "Articles for creation" section. Or you could check the history of the assessment log at WP:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Thailand articles by quality log, where deleted drafts and other pages will be logged as "Removed" under their respective dates.
- However, there's no way for non-admins to see the contents of a deleted page, unless it's restored first. For drafts deleted under G13 (after being inactive for six months), this can be requested at WP:Requests for undeletion/G13. --Paul_012 (talk) 06:45, 2 December 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. A page you created or have recently made significant changes to, Saman Kunan, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for pages, so it has been blanked and redirected. Three typical reasons for this are that: (1) the article's subject appears to fail our notability guidelines; (2) the article is unsourced; or (3) the sources used in the article are unreliable. The page's history is preserved and it is possible to restore the article: If you believe that this page should remain included on Wikipedia or that this action was taken in error, then you may revert the edit that blanked and redirected the page.
Wikipedia:Your first article has more information about creating articles, and you may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. voorts (talk/contributions) 01:44, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Voorts Stop talking. If you disagree, kindly nominate the article for deletion. The last AfD was many years ago, and the subject is now different. If you continue or refuse to initiate an AfD, I will bring this case to ANI for putting undue weight on me. Thanks. ManoiCMU (talk) 02:58, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
- @ManoiCMU: This is a standard notice that is provided after blanking and redirecting a page, which is an allowed alternative to deletion. I am not putting weight on you to do anything. Please assume good faith and do not threaten to take people to AN/I for no reason. voorts (talk/contributions) 03:09, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
- I've started an AfD discussion. voorts (talk/contributions) 03:18, 25 October 2024 (UTC)

The last AfD lacked interest from Thai-speaking editors because there are very few, but now you can't manipulate AfD results as you please.
Please do not accuse others of "maniuplat[ing] AfD results". voorts (talk/contributions) 03:32, 25 October 2024 (UTC)- 555555... ManoiCMU (talk) 03:36, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
- I have also nominated an article you recently moved from draft for re-draftification: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Marisa Chearavanont. voorts (talk/contributions) 03:54, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
- It seems this is a resurgence of resentment from our previous conflict, rather than a professional approach. You are, of course, free to nominate articles for deletion if you disagree with their notability, but please be careful during the argument process. ManoiCMU (talk) 03:58, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
- Manoi, I am not nominating articles for deletion based on my personal feelings. I reviewed your other contributions after our initial interaction and disagree with your conclusion that Marisa Chearavanont is ready to be published to the mainspace. AfD is the appropriate forum for discussing that disagreement. I would appreciate if you would strike your aspersions here and in the AfD discussion. voorts (talk/contributions) 04:11, 25 October 2024 (UTC)

Suggestions
[edit]As mentioned yesterday at Talk:Khuang Singh Monument, I will give suggestions for more articles here on your talk page.
- Wat Ton Kwen (th:วัดต้นเกว๋น on Thai Wikipedia), that has a different official name. There are many images on Commons available.
- Wat Phra That Si Chom Thong (th:วัดพระธาตุศรีจอมทองวรวิหาร on Thai Wikipedia), that has a special Buddha relic an a very rich treasure room.
- Wat Pa Dara Phirom (th:วัดป่าดาราภิรมย์ on Thai Wikipedia), a temple that has been expanded about every year I visited Thailand.
- Wat Buak Krok Luang (th:วัดบวกครกหลวง on Thai Wikipedia), famous for the murals.
