Speedy deletion nomination of Reliance Digital Store
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Reliance Digital Store requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Bazj (talk) 10:34, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
WikiProject India Tag & Assess 2012 Contest
[edit]Hello friends, we are a number of editors from WikiProject India have got together to assess the many thousands of articles under the stewardship of the project, and we'd love to have you, a fellow member, join us. These articles require assessment, that is, the addition of a WikiProject template to the talk page of an article, assessing it for quality and importance and adding a few extra parameters to it.
As of March 11, 2012, 07:00 UTC, WikiProject India has 95,998 articles under its stewardship. Of these 13,980 articles are completely unassessed (both for class and importance) and another 42,415 articles are unassessed for importance only. Accordingly, a Tag & Assess 2012 drive-cum-contest has begun from March 01, 2012 to last till May 31, 2012.
If you are new to assessment, you can learn the minimum about how to evaluate from Part One of the Assessment Guide. Part Two of the Guide will help you learn to employ the full functionality of the talk page template, should you choose to do so.
You can sign up on the Tag & Assess page. There are a number of awards to be given in recognition of your efforts. Come & join us to take part in this exciting new venture. You'll learn more about India in this way.

Welcome to WikiProject Jainism!
[edit]Hi Manan! My name is Aayush and I wanted to welcome you to Wikipedia. Also, thank you for signing up for WikiProject Jainism, we can definitely use more editors in the Jainism project! I also read your comments on Anish's talk page. I understand your concerns and I want to assure you that none of the articles are trying to project misleading information about Jainism. All the articles are clear that Jainism doesn't believe in a creator god. But terms like 'demi god' are necessary in these articles for lack of a better term.
Please feel free to browse through WikiProject Jainism, the Jainism Portal and other Jain articles to see which Jain articles are of interest to you and edit them where you see fit. Please feel free to contact me with whatever questions that you may have. Hope you have fun on Wikipedia!--Aayush18 (talk) 06:27, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

September 2016
[edit]Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Tatacliq.com. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:
|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]
Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:
|image=SomeImage.jpg
.
There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption
. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:20, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
Tatacliq
[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Tata CLiQ a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Tatacliq. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. [edit]Hello, Mananshah15. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. —SpacemanSpiff 03:59, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
I have been part of Wikipedia Moment for more than 5 years, have been learning and editing it in all honesty. Have no commercial interests involved with any organisations. Also, have been involved on and off with Offline activities within the community in Mumbai as trainer and volunteer in the past. I think your concern is misplaced. Do unblock me; Also, I will make sure to be more careful with wikipedia guidelines and rules before editing henceforth. Mananshah15 (talk) 06:38, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
This account has been blocked indefinitely as a sock puppet of Skumarsys (talk · contribs · global contribs · page moves · user creation · block log) that was created to violate Wikipedia policy. Note that using multiple accounts is allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not, and that all edits made while evading a block or ban may be reverted or deleted. If this account is not a sock puppet, and you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}} below. —SpacemanSpiff 04:01, 22 February 2017 (UTC) |
Mananshah15 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I am using this account for 5 and a half years now; also an active user in Mumbai India and has been a part of community for some years. Also, I have taken trainings for wikipedia a multiple times. I would like to assure you that I have not created multiple accounts; Skumarsys (talk · contribs · global contribs · page moves · user creation · block log) is not my account at all. Having said that, I will make sure to be more careful with wikipedia guidelines and rules before editing henceforth. Apologies.
Accept reason:
Based on agreement (or grudging agreement) by User:Vanjagenije and User:SpacemanSpiff below, I'm unblocking this account, subject to an indefinite topic ban on businesses and business people. See WP:Topic ban for details on how this works. Basically, it means you cannot create or add content to articles about businesses or business people, nor add content about specific businesses or business people to other pages. There are exceptions for removing vandalism or violations of WP:BLP. Please ask for clarification if needed; this is not a good time to kind of test the boundaries of what it means with a borderline edit. Fair enough? Also, apologies for the delay in replying, and thanks to SpacemanSpiff for pinging me and reminding me about this. --Floquenbeam (talk) 19:42, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
- There's a significant amount of behavioral overlap in topics and the advertorial nature of your editing. Even on the off chance that you aren't related to the huge group, your advertorial editing alone merits a block. —SpacemanSpiff 07:41, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
I apologise if you would have felt that any of my edits have been advertorial, but in all honesty; I am neither related to any group nor have honestly wanted to make any promotional edits. That was never mine aim; just that bigger organisations have easier references that could be found. Having said that, I apologise on this front and I would like to assure that I will not make any edits to any of the pages that I have earlier made; since they somewhere have overlaps with said account. And also, make sure that I would learn and be careful with editing so that I can do not violate any guidelines. Also, do let me know if there is anything else that I can do to possibly convince you that I merit an unblock. Thank you Mananshah15 (talk) 07:53, 22 February 2017 (UTC)

- @Vanjagenije and SpacemanSpiff: any thoughts on this unblock request, now that a CU has replied? It's been a while since they posted, we should probably answer one way or the other. Perhaps an unblock with a topic ban on businesses or businesspeople? (note, Mananshah15, I'm not offering this to you, I'm proposing it for the admins above to consider.) Also, Mananshah15, are you still pursuing an unblock? I know it's been a while since you've had a reply, sorry about that. --Floquenbeam (talk) 21:50, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
- I agree. Vanjagenije (talk) 21:46, 22 April 2017 (UTC)
Hi Floquenbeam I am obviously seeking an unblock. I was awaiting answers from everyone involved here. I would be one happy soul if i am unblocked in all honesty. Thanks Mananshah15 (talk) 09:48, 24 April 2017 (UTC)
- Floquenbeam, while I understand that there's a technical disconnect between the accounts, I'm quite convinced there's a behavioral match. THat said, I don't have an objection to an unblock that includes a topic ban on businesses and business people. —SpacemanSpiff 06:10, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
Thanks Floquenbeam & SpacemanSpiff for the unblock. SpacemanSpiff - can I remove the sockpuppet tag from my user page and get my profile back?

[edit]An article you recently created, Harkisan Mehta Institute of Media, Research and Analysis, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia).
