Hey, I requested the semi-protect for this page and thanks for doing so, but the only thing is that I don't think four days is long enough. I think one week at minimum would curtail the vandals. After July 8th, it shouldn't matter anymore as he'll most likely have signed somewhere and the desire for vandals to mess around will be gone. Thanks! --Airtuna08 (talk) 02:40, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
- Try four days for now; if the vandalism starts up again just request that the article is reprotected at WP:RFPP. I understand your concern, but we increase protection length gradually. There is no real way to know that vandalism will continue over an extended period, and articles are not protected pre-emptively. If you want to read the policy regarding protection you can find it at WP:PROT :). Thanks. Malinaccier (talk) 03:04, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
- I understand your point with gradual protection as wiki wants any one to feel they can contribute, but I think this is just a special case where a bunch of players became free agents on July 1st and no one is allowed to sign to July 8th, so there is a ton of speculation during this week on where players may go and ultimately sign. You just get alot of people who like to come on here and change things based on speculation or what the lastest rumor is before anything is official, so I'd be surprised if I didn't have to re-submit this on the 6th for further protection. There is precedent here too. The semi-protect on the LeBron James page is set at indefinite and the one on Dwyane Wade is set to expire on the 9th. I hear your point though. Just stinks we have to deal with vandalism, haha. --Airtuna08 (talk) 03:37, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
- I'm being too stiff here. Ignore all rules. I'll set it to expire. Thanks for understanding :). Malinaccier (talk) 03:44, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks! I do wish you didn't have to do it at all. --Airtuna08 (talk) 03:48, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, do you understand this new pending-change review? I was given reviewer status the other day. --Airtuna08 (talk) 03:50, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
- I do understand it. Would you like me to try it on the Nowitzki article? Malinaccier (talk) 12:58, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

- Sorry I'm just getting back to you. Sure, I'd like to see how it works :)... --Airtuna08 (talk) 17:49, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

1997 Michigan Wolverines football team
I am contacting you based on your extensive involvment in Michigan Wolverines football. I have beefed up 1997 Michigan Wolverines football team. It could use some feedback at Wikipedia:Peer review/1997 Michigan Wolverines football team/archive1. Also, I had trouble finding game details for the Little Brown Jug game. I hope to take this to WP:FAC so if you get a chance this is one of the more important articles that you might be able to help out.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:04, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
