File copyright problem with File:Gate..jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Gate..jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Skier Dude (talk) 07:39, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

Orphan articles
Hey. Just a friendly notice that orphan tag means that other articles don't have links to the article that has the tag. Not that the orphan article itself doesn't have links to others. Happy editing :) Ilyushka88 talk 11:34, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Parasrampur
A tag has been placed on Parasrampur requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Merlion 444 13:44, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Wikipedia pic Baba Nihal.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Wikipedia pic Baba Nihal.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 13:43, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
Possibly unfree File:Wiki Talhan .JPG
A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Wiki Talhan .JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. --(ESkog)(Talk) 15:00, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
Re: Punjabi Village Articles
Hi, I must say I am impressed in your efforts in the Punjabi village articles. Too bad we don't have better references. Thanks --Sikh-History 19:20, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Moranwali, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.moranwali.net/page8.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 11:19, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

Doabi dialect not legible
Could you convert the Doabi phonology section to normal transcription? No capital letters, don't use punctuation for letters, stick to what's supported by Unicode, etc. Currently it's effectively illegible, and so useless for WP.

Unreliable cites
Malikhpur - I reverted an unreliable cite to Teej you added. Websites that are blogs, self published, commercial with unclear editorial policies such as astrology.com are unreliable, see WP:NOTRS and WP:RS guidelines of Wikipedia. Find cites in reviewed books from respected publishers (unreliable publishers of India are Gyan / Pinnacle / Isha / VDM / Alphascript etc: see WP:PUS).
Other reliable and welcome cites are from peer reviewed journals, reliable major newspapers (but use their editorials or opinion pages carefully), factual statements such as the date of a holiday etc on website and reports of government websites, and other respected publications. Try the resources below for Teej,

@Ronz: The section on Maharashtra was headed Delhi. The other deletions related to replacing specific religions with a general term such as multi-faith. Previously the reference to celebration in Pakistan also included Sikhs but that was deleted so I inserted the phrase celebration by "non-Muslims". Celebration by Sikhs seems to be causing an issue. (User:Malikhpur) 30 August 2015
- I restored the Maharashtra bit, so that's clearly not a concern.
- I don't understand why you deleted the rest.
- What is this about a deleted reference and how does it relate? --Ronz (talk) 15:51, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
@Ronz: I do not have have an issue with your restoration but if you look at the recent edits, there seems to be an issue with the inclusion of celebration by Sikhs. To make the article neutral I think there should be reference to celebration by Hindus and refer to it being a multi-faith celebration. However, this is not now a priority as the festival is nearly over and the edits will begin again next year! Thanks. (User:Malikhpur) 30 August 2015
- Yes, there's definitely concerns about the inclusion of other cultures, but they all appear to be well sourced, and no one has bothered to attempt discussion. We both know that these cultural disputes come up frequently in such articles. --Ronz (talk) 16:33, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
