Apologies for the late delivery this week; my plans to handle this while on vacation went awry. Ral315

Hi. I discovered you'd indef-blocked User:Sukecchi for 3RR. Probably a mistake, but a pretty egregious one, so I unblocked him. You get to figure out what to do with User:Pluvia yourself. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 15:34, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Yes, it was an accident (a really, really stupid one). Very sorry about that. I've reblocked him for 21 hours. I would decline Pluvia, but I won't since I'm the blocking admin. — Malcolm (talk) 16:06, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Just so you know, this user is continuing his/her vandalism, this time with The Real World article. Thanks. Nightscream 06:07, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Blocked, thanks for telling me. In the future, though you can report vandals to AIV. — Malcolm (talk) 20:27, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

A few things...

Two, to be exact...

  1. Did you get my e-mail? And on a sadder note...
  2. I can't believe Arjun's leaving!! I'll sure miss him.

Ninetywazup?Review meMy ToDo 18:41, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Actually, I didn't get an email (try again?). And yeah, it's sad Arjun left...he'll be missed by pretty much everyone here (except the vandals...grr). — Malcolm (talk) 20:33, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
I just sent another e-mail. Cheers!! Ninetywazup?Review meMy ToDo 23:11, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Have you heard from User:Randfan recently? I've sent him a bunch of messages, but he hasn't replied to any. Did he quit? He hasn't said anything, as far as I'm aware. Cheers!! Ninetywazup?Review meMy ToDo 00:08, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
Yep, got the second one. As for Randfan, I think he (unfortunately) left. — Malcolm (talk) 03:12, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
According to this, his last edit was on March 8, 2007. Ninetywazup?Review meMy ToDosign here! 17:54, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

So, after a long discussion (that he participated in) to get a consensus to redirect those articles that I brought up here earlier, he has decided to wikilawyer a random point about some past discussions in order to keep them. There is an obvious consensus, but edit warring isn't going to do any good, so can you try to do something? TTN 22:42, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

I'd suggest an RfC and, if that doesn't work, informal mediation. — Malcolm (talk) 00:42, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
An RfC will just have him turn it around on myself or whoever starts it, and mediation will end up the same way. Can you just do the whole "I will block you if you continue to violate the consensus of the discussion by not discussing" thing (or some variation) that you guys sometimes do? TTN 16:34, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
I'm involved in the dispute, so I won't do that. ANI, perhaps? — Malcolm (talk) 16:37, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
There's been a consensus AGAINST merging. But apparently, if they don't participate in one of TTN's new hourly discussions which they aren't even aware of its existence, their opinions just cease to be a factor. Hell, looking at the current discussion, Andrevan has been presenting plenty of evidence, so yeah, that's hardly what I call "a closed discussion". - A Link to the Past (talk) 16:50, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
ANI just passes this type of thing off as a content dispute, so there isn't much to be found there either. TTN 17:22, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

(←) Please, just try one of them. — Malcolm (talk) 18:51, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Request For Page Unprotection

Is it okay if you unprotect Wii Points because I believe arguement ended July 30, 2007. I just wanted to tell you. Uchiha23 06:00, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

The dispute doesn't seem to have been resolved yet, so no. — Malcolm (talk) 16:35, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for the prompt help in resolving the mess created by the Largs page moves. --NSH001 23:39, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Max I. Silber

Aparantly in the 6 hours or so since I started working on this article, someone tagged it for speedy deletion, and you deleted it. I had marked it as Under Construction hoping that it would be left alone for a few hours to enable me to get all my references, but alas. In any case, I have recreated the page and entered in all that I have for material, as well as references. While I intend to get more information and references, hopefully this will be adequate for now. RobHoitt 04:04, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

I suggest you improve it a bit more so it satisfies WP:N, or it may be put through AFD. In the future, if you would like to put an unfinished article (intending to finish it) on Wikipedia, please create a sandbox. — Malcolm (talk) 20:31, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Greetings. You recently disallowed the changeover of Image:MilfordCtOutnlineMap.png to the commons version, and I understand your reasons. I believe I have remedied the problem, which was that the image versions in wikipedia and commons differed. I have retagged it for switchover, and I have added a Note to Reviewer just below that tag. Please have another look. Thanks. Karl Hahn (T) (C) 17:10, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Deleted, thanks for the message. — Malcolm (talk) 20:28, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: Yoshi

Hm.. yeah, I re-looked over what I reverted, and it was probably an acceptable edit. Removing that much info without an edit summary causes the trigger happy part of me to come out I guess. I thought I saw a couple sources removed with it, but I'll check. Wizardman 23:08, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

The redirect you created at Template:Infobox GB school has been nominated at redirects for discussion, you can find the discussion here. Please feel free to comment and leave your views there. Thanks, CR7 (message me) 00:00, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

I recently nominated this article for speedy-deletion - you removed that nomination, stating it should have an AfD, or go through Prod. Why? I've had many such articles speedily deleted, all similar i.e. a non-notable company that does not assert it's notability through external links. TheIslander 21:56, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

My mistake. I'll close the AFD as speedy delete. — Malcolm (talk) 18:36, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Semi-protecting

Hi Malcolm, thanks for semi-protecting Lost (TV series) at the request of User:Wikipedical. It says that the page is being semi-protected due to vandalism, which is not the case. It is because of a dispute between two users (one of which happens to be anonymous). Could you change it to Template:Pp-semi-protected? --thedemonhog talkedits 06:18, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

I actually did protect it due to vandalism (there has been quite a bit). However, I've changed the template because of the dispute. — Malcolm (talk) 14:48, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
