Your draft article, Draft:Sheldon Charrett
Hello BudJillett. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Sheldon Charrett".
The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply {{db-afc}}
or {{db-g13}}
code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:Sheldon Charrett}}
, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. LorTalk 05:31, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
Please read WP:DEADREF
Your actions at Bundy standoff weren't in keeping with good practice or policy. If a citation link URL is no longer working, that does not mean the source is no longer valid. Wikipedia sources are not required to be easily accessible on the Internet. The first step when you see a broken source link is not to delete the information and the citations. Rather, it's to search for an archived or alternative link - an archived copy of the first source was quickly found, and the FBI source is still on the FBI site at a slightly-changed URL. NorthBySouthBaranof (talk) 21:04, 23 December 2017 (UTC)
- I did happen to find those two sources, and read them. But they contradict each other. The one that says the FBI considers the Sovereign Citizen Movement its "top Domestic Terrorism threat," then goes on to say that this was more true back in the 1990s, which certainly isn't the most updated sentiment. In any case it cites no sources. The second source, and indeed other similar sources (and pages published by the FBI itself), does not list the movement as being "the top" threat, though they do consider it a threat. Even if the first source were solid, we'd be giving it undo weight. Other sources, of questionable reliability, go so far as to say that some of the "crimes" committed by some people associated with the movement are "among" the top domestic terror threats. This is not the same as saying the movement itself is "the top" domestic terror threat. By far, the vast majority of news references to "domestic terrorism" do not mention the "Sovereign Citizen Movement" at all. I will edit to remove the undue weight given to the phrase "the top." Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Punkintown
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Punkintown requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.seacoastonline.com/article/20071118/News/711180349. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Unfortunately, it appears to be a copyright issue so I proposed it for deletion but I enjoyed reading it. I know the Plaisteds, Emerys and Lords. I know the rail lines mentioned but I'm not familiar with the history of this town.--S Philbrick(Talk) 01:54, 24 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hello, Neighbor. I pasted some text in there for reference while it was a draft, so I could work on it. The text has since been edited out. I didn't know a draft could be nominated for deletion. I thought it would be safe to work on while still a draft, but I will continue my work offline. Would you please remove tag? I'll double-check to make sure all source material is deleted.
