Flagging pages

[edit]

No problem! Check out this link: Wikipedia:Cleanup.

When you tag articles, use templates from this page: Wikipedia:Template messages/Cleanup. You can insert templates by adding the text {{''template name''}} at the very top of the article (the template names are listed in the very far left column). -- Essjay · Talk 05:46, Jun 21, 2005 (UTC)

AlMac Comment

[edit]

You are welcome to visit my talk page at this link [1] which has sections with tips from other people and sections on stuff I hope to learn ... it could perhaps use a section of Q+A where it is apparent that I have figured out how to do something that you also would like to learn.

Sorry I did your main page first instead of here ... me too still figuring out how to navigate this place. Posted by AlMac 29 June 2005 02:27 (UTC)

Please stop adding nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you were just trying to experiment, then use the sandbox instead. Thank you. Carson.Talk 05:44, 9 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you created the article 'incorruptible' and redirected it to Maximilien Robespierre. Carson.Talk 05:49, 9 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm. Well I can't verify that, but if you're sure... maybe you might want to extend it to 'The Incorruptible'. Carson.Talk 05:58, 9 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please be careful when disambiguating Cordoba. You pointed some links to Cordoba, Spain and they actually were from Argentina.

Hello. Round four of Wikipedia Mind Benders will open on Thursday, December 1. This round will be drastically different from round three; part one will consist of a creative project, and part two will be developed from there. The full details will be released when the round opens. Time and speed should not be major factors in this round; thus, there is no exact opening time for the round as speed will not factor into the scoring. Thanks! Flcelloguy (A note?) 00:04, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. Please add Wikipedia:Mind Benders/to do to your watchlist to receive further announcements; the NotificationBot is currently down and all notifications will be placed on that page. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Note: This message has been sent by Flcelloguy. If you do not wish to receive further messages regarding WP:MIND, please contact Flcelloguy. Special thanks to Fetofs for helping distribute this message.

COTW

[edit]

Would you be willing to support my nominee for WP:COTW. The article is Invasion which is an important term for military knowledge. The current article however isn't at the same standard as the term is in modern and historic warfare though. If you'll be willing to support, I'll be greatful. [edit]

I saw you made a comment about an Introduction to the Eggerland book. I personally thought that the Overview section was a pretty good intro to the book, but if you have any thoughts on the matter, as in, what else we could add to it or comment on before leaping into the subject directly, feel free to let me know! Welcoming template

[edit]

Hi! I see you're using the older version of my welcoming template. Just wanted to let you know that you probably ought to change the link that points to my talk page to point to yours. Cheers. — Ilyanep (Talk) 01:55, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah thanks for welcoming me, the reason he is asking this is because i originally thanked you but i saw the talk page so i took it back, but i'll put it back on here, thanks for the welcome MagicMonster! Mrmattkatt 01:59, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to have the same template, but with your talk page, then edit my template, and copy the source then paste it into something like User:Magicmonster/Welcome then you can modify and use that (in case you didn't know) — Ilyanep (Talk) 23:29, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Taylorview.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. BRossow 18:28, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Portvase.jpg

[edit]
Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Portvase.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Carl (CBM · talk) 04:13, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
