Then its not possible to contribute to Wikipedia. This is a stub, Ive seen stubs about schools that Wikipedia have approved with only 1 sentence. Im starting think theres an issue of preference here. This is a stub about a school, not a famous person or celebrity - of course there wont be alot of content, how else do you want a stub about a normal high school to be? It seems Wikipedia doesn't want certain stubs. Maggszn (talk) 10:25, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It seems Wikipedia doesnt want short articles. I had independent references on this article, and they all credible, all the information I wrote is true and factual. It is not about being a short article it is about Wikipedia only having articles on topics that meet it's notability guidelines. In general most high schools do not have a enough written about them to make them notable. In general all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). Regards KylieTastic (talk) 10:27, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So youre saying that if a topic is not written about alot and widely wriiten about, its not going to get approved by Wikipedia? So in essence this online encyclopedia doesnt inform people on real life topics, relevant institutions and real life things as an encyclopedia. Meanwhile theres stubs that have been approved on wikipedis with only 1 sentence on them. Maggszn (talk) 10:36, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Basically yes. It's not a perfect solution but it gives a good basic criteria for what is useful for a world wide encyclopedia. There are a huge number of primary and secondary/high schools, most are only of interest to the local community. Not everyone agrees and many think schools should be more generally accepted as notable, but Wikipedia works by consensus and currently that is consensus is they need to pass the General notability guideline.
