You have been blocked indefinitely from creating accounts for misuse of multiple accounts.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Star Mississippi 20:14, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please read WP:PROJSOCK and log into your main account to participate in AfDs. You remain free to edit articles. Star Mississippi 20:15, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This is my main account. I found AfD through Reddit. Madeleine961 (talk) 20:17, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'll leave this for another admin to review and defer to whatever decision is made here. Regardless of the decision, I think more time editing articles and becoming familiar with policies will lead to better AfD participation. Star Mississippi 20:32, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Star Mississippi, did any particular AfD set off your sock senses? Or was it just that this editor got to AfDs early on in editing? -- asilvering (talk) 04:11, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Primarily Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/CaseOh (streamer) @Asilvering: but the pattern doesn't match their explanation of most recent either. If you believe I erred, feel free to unblock as I trust your judgement. Star Mississippi 01:48, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
An AfD nom was my 18th-ever edit, so I may be primed to being overly sympathetic to the idea that real newbies do actually get there on their own, but if neither of us can find any particular smoking gun, I think we ought to lift this block. I checked a few WP:BEANSy things and came up short. @Madeleine961, if you are operating this as a secondary account, please immediately act like a giant dick, so we can ban you. If you aren't, sorry about all this, and welcome aboard! A word to the wise: if you're going to say that an article "meets GNG", it's very helpful if you can provide links to the best couple of sources in your comment, so the closer can easily refer to what you have in mind. Likewise, if you're going to say "doesn't meet GNG", it's helpful if you can tell us what you've actually searched for, eg "none of the sources in the article meet GNG standards and my search of google books and google scholar only turned up mentions of the guy with the same name who is a palaeobotanist", or whatever. -- asilvering (talk) 02:13, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I was blocked because "new accounts don't find AfD" when I've been lurking on Wikipedia for months before making an account.

Accept reason:

Always happy to have more lurker-joiners. Please don't make me sad by turning out to be an actual sockpuppet in the end. -- asilvering (talk) 02:18, 3 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My only question is, were you recruited to an AfD from Reddit? 331dot (talk) 21:04, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No, sir/ma'am. I first found out about it on /r/wikipedia. This exact post, actually. https://www.reddit.com/r/wikipedia/comments/18udauz/the_longest_deletion_discussion_in_wikipedia/
Then I learned and thoroughly perused the Wikipedia rules, policies and discussions before making an account. I went to the list of active AfDs and started with the most recent ones to help. Madeleine961 (talk) 23:14, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
