Altered speedy deletion rationale: Laila Pakistani actress
Hello RadioFan. I am just letting you know that I deleted Laila Pakistani actress, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which doesn't fit the page in question. Thank you. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 12:36, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

hello! help!
Hi RadioFan!
Trying to make my first page (Kathryn Borel Jr.) and it says there is copyright infringement. However, the blogger that I "infringed" upon, quoted directly from the book flap of Borel's book. So we're both sourcing the same book -- no copyright intended! How do I fix this?
Thanks

Daulatabad Fort
Article on Daulatabad is only about the city. I am creating a new article only focusing on the fort. Please do not re-direct it. If a new page on the fort is not created, the article will be too long and boring. I request you to create the page again so that I can edit and improve the article. Nefirious (talk) 19:59, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- I dont see how this subject might meet WP:GNG, please create this as a section in the article on the city instead.--RadioFan (talk) 20:02, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
It very much meets the WP:GNG with the numerous sources on the internet. When I created the article I even placed a tag stating that the article was underconstruction. Nefirious (talk) 20:06, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- The subject can be adequately covered in the article on the city, please cover it there. A dedicated article would give this ubject undue weight.--RadioFan (talk) 20:07, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
That is your personal opinion. Because there is enough material on the subject as it is. In fact including Daulataad fort in the same article would make it a bit too long and in order to avoid Wikipedia:Article size its better to have another article focusing only on the Fort rather than both. Nefirious (talk) 20:10, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- I disagree, the existing article isn't that long. How much material do you plan to add on this fort?--RadioFan (talk) 20:11, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
Gauging by the number of resources and journals i posses it may have a lot of material. You cannot disagree on the matter because an expert on the subject has to be called to to decide. I'd suggest that this matter be raised in with members of Wikipedia:WikiProject India, because neither you or me can decide on the fate of this new article.Nefirious (talk) 20:14, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- Also I would be grateful to you if you adhere to the Wikipedia:Civility guidelines and re construct your statements sir. I disagree is a perojative term for Wikipedia editors. In fact as a responsible editor one should try and find solution for a problem and not disregard this policy. Wikipedia:Civility Nefirious (talk) 20:18, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- I suggest you add it as a section to the city article and then move it if there is consensus in the talk page there. I'm sorry you found offense at another editor disagreeing with you but that's part of contributing in a community such as Wikipedia and is entirely civil. perojative is a strong term and does not apply to everything that you might find negative.--RadioFan (talk) 20:25, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- I appreciate the apology but an editor who works hard for the community has to face rejection, thats not good and someone saying straight off that he disagrees is not polite. There is a certain way to address things.
Anyway, what if there is consensus and the need for creation of the article arises. No matter how hard I try to create the page it will re-direct to Daulatabad. Nefirious (talk) 20:30, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- If there is concensus that a dedicated article is warranted, it can be created as a dedicated article assuming sufficient references can be provided to establish notability.--RadioFan (talk) 20:53, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
Notice for deletion of article
I received a notice for article deletion, named "Kashif Ali Abbas". Please guide me on this. Thanks --Kashif Ali Abbas 14:57, 9 March 2010 (UTC)earthtosky
- Please read the notice, instructions on how to proceed are there.--RadioFan (talk) 14:58, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for guidance
For page" Kashif Ali Abbas" This is my first page creation here. Please guide me on how to improve.
1. Deleting spam links?
2. Adding that this is an "Autobiographical article".
3. I have seen other such articles, that may qualify for vanity articles, on pakistan writers category.
4. If someone else writes, will that be acceptable?
5. I understand, it may not be for everyone, but Please see Reference, Google and Yahoo search engine acknowledges this person and rate him on first page,
Guidance will be highly appreciated.
thank you
--Kashif Ali Abbas 15:18, 9 March 2010 (UTC)earthtosky —Preceding unsigned comment added by Earthtosky (talk • contribs)
1) edit and remove them
2) Autobiographical articles are strongly discouraged and usually are deleted. If you are notable, someone will write about you. No need to rush into it.
3) If you could provide the names of these articles, they can be looked into and marked for deletion as well.
4) If someone else writes and the article meets guidelines for inclusion, then yes, it will be fine.
5) References must be cited individually. Google or Yahoo search counts are not sufficient to demonstrate notability. References will be looked at individually to ensure they are reliable especially those that may have been created by you yourself.
However, the article is up for discussion. If the result of that discussion is delete, the article will be removed regardless. I encourage you to share your thoughts in that discussion as you improve this article. You should also disclose that you are the subject of the article. --RadioFan (talk) 16:40, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, but with all the due respect, can you stop deleting my pages on Bernard, Carlier, Leger and Verdoni? I am still working on them. You are changing them while I am editing them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sersunzo (talk • contribs) 18:45, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
- I dont see how these articles may meet notability guidelines for biographies. Please add this information to the article on the book that they authored.--RadioFan (talk) 18:47, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
Sorry again, but, again, with all the due respect, how can you possibly know that these articles may not meet notability guidelines for biographies IF YOU KEEP DELETING THEM BEFORE I CAN COMPLETE THEM!!!!. PLEASE, stop deleting them and when I finish, if you still have concerns, do whatever you think, but, please, unless you do not have the proven ability to read the future and know what people will write before they actually write it, please, hold your erasing pulses for just a few days. Thanks
PS: and by the way "mister I know everything" Verdoni, FYI, was probably the best chess player in the world between 1795 and 1804 as the following wikipedia page (which I hope you will not delete now) shows: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/World_Chess_Championship. Do you think it is enough for the notability guidelines for biographies? There is, moreover, already a page for Verdoni in the German Wikipedia (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verdoni) (which, again, I hope you will not delete now). Thus, if this is good for the German wikipedia (and Verdoni was not German, by the way) on the basis of what you decide that the one in English is not necessary?
Nothing is more terrible than active ignorance.
- These articles were little more than a sentence and it was not at all clear how they might meet notability guidelines. How are other editors to know that you planned to add sufficient detail and references to help them meet those guidlines. Take a look at WP:MINDREADER to see this from other's perspective. To answer your questions, existence on other wikis really doesn't provide much to meet notability guidelines on the English wiki. If this person was considered the best player at that time, that's great, but such claims must be demonstrated through references in order to be kept here on Wikipedia. This is a collaborative space and others will add and delete from what you've added, including redirecting it elsewhere if the article has not been sufficiently completed or referenced to meet notability guidelines. If you prefer to work in increments, I'd suggest you work under your user space before introducing it to public space. --RadioFan (talk) 00:48, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
speedy deletion of Arcalife.com
Hi there,
Marking speedy deletion of this article in my view was heavy handed based on my review of the guidlines for speedy deletion. The article was well referenced and cited and supports a new line of articles that I have been building on an area of established notability. While I did not mark the page as under construction ... I am still learning, I did add comments to this effect in the discussion pages. This is my first speedy deletion article and I have to say its discouraging to have something instantly dismissed. I have now added credible claim of significance or importance to the article, but I still think I should have been given more time to flesh out the stub before it was marked in this way. I guess I'll get used to running into my first negative experience as a contributor :-) Simonjonesmjb (talk) 02:12, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

Hello RadioFan. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Lužnice (Kragujevac), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not english. Thank you. ϢereSpielChequers 13:08, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
I notice you just added a reference section to this page; the reason I'm bringing it up is because the "construction tag" means it's still being written, so the reason it didn't have a reference section is because I haven't got there yet. On the other hand your addition created an edit conflict,so I lost what I was trying to put in. Do you think in future you can wait a bit, and see what's missing after it's been written, instead of barging in? Xyl 54 (talk) 14:20, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- Noticed it was missing so thought I'd help out. You'll be added references while editing this article so they'll have somewhere to be displayed. If you prefer to make multiple edits to a new article this way, you might want to do it under your user space then move it to prevent edit conflicts. Also look over the edit conflict notice page completely, your edit is in there and can be recovered and added into the article right there on that page.--RadioFan (talk) 15:47, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

Phi Kappa Pi & disambig pages
I don't think either the sorority or the fraternity should be given preference for the Phi Kappa Pi namespace. Also, in terms of moving articles, Phi Kappa Pi should be moved to the fraternity, not the sorority. It was changed to refer to the sorority 23 December 2009. All the previous history refers to the fraternity.
Thanks.
Nagiek (talk) 16:00, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
- I agree, however the way you are going about this is creating a bit of a confusing mess. Phi Kappa Pi needs to be moved to Phi Kappa Pi (sorority) not simply copied and pasted. This ensures that the article history is with the right article. This will take some administrator assistance to sort out. I requested that Phi Kappa Pi (sorority) be deleted and Phi Kappa Pi moved there. Once this is complete, Phi Kappa Pi can be created as a disambiguation page linking to each organization. Prize for good Neighborhood and Understanding
Hi! You must see the article now, i mean, the external links, there is an english article about it. It's notable, but maybe only in hungary and in sloavkai, but I think, it's not a bad thing to have it also in English. There is a lot of silly award-theme articles. And, last year one of the winners was a Slovakian politician, not some kind of noname persons... Think again about the deletion. --Eino81 (talk) 15:43, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, I don't see this as notable. A certificate and 2000 Euros? Doesn't seem like that big of a deal. --RadioFan (talk) 16:16, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
- Just see it again. I put there the Slovakian-Hungarian crisis articles. If you would like here in Central Europe, you'd know about that crisis. And because there is an award like that, it means a little sunshine in the "horrile sea". --Eino81 (talk) 16:32, 18 March 2010 (UTC)
- The crisis may be notable, but the award doesn't seem to be.--RadioFan (talk) 16:33, 18 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi I have declined your speedy on this - it certainly needs to go, as unsourced OR, but that doesn't come within any of the speedy criteria, which are deliberately tightly draw. Your contributed article, Marc Hoffman Composer, Pianist, Vocalist, Recording Artist
Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Marc Hoffman Composer, Pianist, Vocalist, Recording Artist. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Marc Hoffman. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Marc Hoffman - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. PinkBull 16:33, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

This artist might be notable enough for Wikipedia someday, but that day is not today.--RadioFan (talk) 15:40, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Detroit Animal Abuse
Hello, I just wanted to give response to the proposed questions regarding the deletion of the page of I created, Detroit Animal Abuse.
The page is worthy of a Wikipedia article and is different from other animal abuse because Detroit has the second highest accounts of animal abuse in the entire United States. The city is experiencing a current economic failure and crisis among its people and animals have become a target of gambling, money, and anger issues.
I understand that the page may not be sufficient however I did accumulate a large amount of research that begs to differ. I do appreciate your time and all of your efforts to keep Wikipedia organized, credible, and up to par.
Thank you for your time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mydigitalvoice (talk • contribs) 15:44, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- I'm thinking that it would be best to merge this into animal abuse.--RadioFan (talk) 15:46, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
SFL
Hi, I think you are wrong about SFL. It is nationwide competition now not just some minor amateur league. SFL teams are allowed into Lithuanian Football Cup along with professional teams.
- If that's the case it should be easy to add some citations to reliable sources to demonstrate its notability.--RadioFan (talk) 18:46, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
- There are plenty of articles about SFL just because its founders Prelegentai football club is a hobby team of some local celebrities. If you are interested in article about SFL
http://www.delfi.lt/archive/article.php?id=22390590 and http://www.delfi.lt/archive/article.php?id=21784559 about SFL teams in Lithuanian football cup, http://www.delfi.lt/archive/article.php?id=23185497 about SFL 2009 season, http://www.delfi.lt/archive/article.php?id=20373806 about its rapid expantion; http://www.delfi.lt/archive/article.php?id=20066283 about its funding http://www.delfi.lt/archive/article.php?id=7807591 about its first season. I could find a lot more but its all in Lithuanian
- non English sources are fine as long as they are verifiable.--RadioFan (talk) 21:49, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
Hi. I have declined your A10 speedy on this, because the author explained on the talk page that it isn't a new parallel article - what he is doing is a split of Creation myths. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 10:53, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. Didn't look like a split at first since it was a complete copy of the original article, not how splits are normally done.--RadioFan (talk) 11:36, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
DELETION
If it says "Under Contruction" then don't be so hasty to act like a child and delete it. You abuse the rights you were given and clearly are not doing your job correctly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Achilles1107 (talk • contribs) 19:33, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
About the headless deletion
The article of mine, which you wanted to delete, was said to be keepen. In the future, when you put a deletion template to any article, don't do that so fast. I know, that there are bad articles in the English Wikipedia, but if you don't know any situation far from your homeland, don't think, it could not be notable. I'm a Hungarian, who has Slovakian roots, and it is not so good for me to hear all the bad voices from "both of my homelands". And it's good to have an award like that. So, keep calm, when you see an article. I know, some of the editors likes to delete, but to built is more difficult, I like to built. --Eino81 (talk) 11:55, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
- In the future, you should consider editing the article under your own user space before introducing it to the main article space. That will give you sufficient time to add sufficient sources to the article to demonstrate notability without any other editors tagging it for deletion. Also be careful to name the article properly. The original article name did not appear in any of the references you provided, this is a sure sign of a lack of notability. Put yourself in other editors shoes, it may be obviously notable to you but without references which clearly back that up, how are others to understand?--RadioFan (talk) 14:32, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi RadioFan, I've removed the proposed deletion tag you placed on the above article and have placed in its place {{Refimprove}} so that the page can be cleaned up/sourced appropriately. Jeffrey Mall (talk • contribs) - 19:35, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
OPERS covers 27,000 state employees in Oklahoma
I think it should be included. I included a box that put the statitistics on it. I saved it before I put the box.~~ TheThing88. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thething88 (talk • contribs) 22:06, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- If you feel it might meet notability guidelines, then please add sufficient references to demonstrate that.--RadioFan (talk) 22:07, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
Hi, you said exactly what I was thinking. I also believe 95.147.183.249 happens to 'know' Jagoperson too, since they also showed up tonight to support and edit the article. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 22:06, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- You don't happen to have created a sock puppet investigation before have you? I've never done it and I'm not too sure where to begin. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 22:52, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- I have, there are tools that help make the process easy. I'm not going to bother with it unless this person keeps pressing their luck.--RadioFan (talk) 22:53, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- I'll keep an eye on it, but I think it might need to be done at some point. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 23:08, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- Sounds good, ping me here if you need a hand.--RadioFan (talk) 23:22, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hi again. I've decided I've seen enough and I'm going to try and file the report. If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong, but I don't want to leave it and let Jagoperson think that using (potential) socks in a debate is the right thing to do. - JuneGloom07 Talk? 11:42, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

Hello RadioFan. Please, check this article again and take it to AfD, if you disagree with my intervention. Thank you. --Vejvančický (talk) 12:17, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
- Btw, you can find more here. --Vejvančický (talk) 12:22, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
I have declined your speedy, after some thought, as it is not clear from the website whether this is to be an on-line only or a print journal, and if print db-web would not apply. I have replaced your PROD, as permitted by WP:PROD where removal is "clearly not an objection to deletion," and added a prod2. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 16:26, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
- Aaaaarrrgh! I see that it was he, not you, who removed the PROD, so it was improper of me to replace it. Ah well. Off to AfD. JohnCD (talk) 16:35, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
