Articles to Write About

[edit]

I had to eliminate some of my initial choices, because I realized they were far too theological and not within the scope of the contemporary religious situations!

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Spiritual_but_not_religious This one is in desperate need of scholarly sources! I also feel like there's far more to be written on the topic. Given that my Honours seminar in my undergrad was on the topic of SBRNs, I feel I would have a lot to contribute.

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Secular_spirituality Again, this one really needs some additional information and scholarly sources provided. https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/LGBT-affirming_religious_groups This article is just so disjointed. It's mainly focused on Christianity, but it's not fleshed out at all. Strangely, the only thorough description on a particular religion's thoughts on LGBTQ issues is LaVeyan Satanism! I would not have guessed that.

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Religious_controversies This one is also a mess. It should be incredibly long! Clearly a few scholars added in their own particular religious controversy of interest. This one is almost too broad, I wouldn't know where to begin but I'm excited at the thought of trying to start somewhere!

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Women_and_religion This page is flagged for attention by both the "religion" and "feminism" groups on Wikipedia. It has very few citations and mostly just links to other pages.

https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Priest_shortage_in_the_Roman_Catholic_Church I believe this article could be interesting since this is a contemporary issue the Catholic church must grapple with. It seems it does not take the context of global Catholicism into account, so I could try to remedy that.
