[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Multi-level marketing do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you.
Please check WP:ELYES and WP:ELMAYBE for suggerences on what external links are adequate for articles. --Enric Naval (talk) 13:42, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Mackverma. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Andrew Lauer, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Sumanuil. (talk to me) 20:20, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Sumanuil,
- Thank you for reaching out and for providing guidance on managing a conflict of interest (COI). I’d like to confirm that I have now taken the necessary steps to comply with Wikipedia's guidelines:
- 1. **Disclosure of Paid Editing:**
- - I have disclosed my role as a paid editor on my [User Page](https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Mackverma) in accordance with the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use.
- - I have added the `Connected contributor (paid)` template to the Talk Page of the Andrew Lauer article.
- 2. **Proposing Edits on the Talk Page:**
- - I understand that I should not directly edit the article due to my COI. Instead, I will propose any changes on the Talk Page using the `edit COI` template for review by neutral editors.
- 3. **Image Upload Compliance:**
- - I have re-uploaded the image for Andrew Lauer to Wikimedia Commons, ensuring it meets all licensing requirements with appropriate documentation.
- I greatly appreciate the collaborative spirit of Wikipedia and will adhere strictly to its policies to ensure neutrality and compliance. If there are any additional steps or adjustments I should make, please let me know.
- Thank you for your time and guidance!
- Best regards,
- Mackverma Mackverma (talk) 15:05, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
