Adoption
[edit]Hi, I noticed you put yourself up for adoption. Would you like me to adopt you? I've been around the project for a little over a year and I more or less know my way around. This would be my first actual adoption though. Feel free to ask any questions on my talk page whether you decide to accept the adoption or not. What are your areas of interest? Have any idea what kind of stuff you'd like to help out with on Wikipedia? (there's plenty that I can suggest, if you want). Hopefully talk to you soon. Peace, delldot | talk 17:57, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- Cool! Let's get started. Tell me a little about yourself. What attracted you to Wikipedia? Do you have a particular area of interest that you plan to write about? Or do you plan to do more "gnomish" tasks like adding articles to categories or fighting vandalism? (If you want to know more about that stuff let me know). What type of guidance are you looking for in adoption? Do you mainly want to just ask questions if you get stuck, or do you want more active involvement from me? Talk to you soon, Peace, delldot | talk 02:17, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
Category
[edit]Well, to add an article to a category, you go to the article, edit it, scroll down to the bottom, and add [[Category:the category you want to add it to]]. You'll probably see other categories there if the article's already established. When you save the page, it's automatically added to the category. If you want to know other stuff about categorizing (like how to change the alphabetical order the page appears in in the category), I can tell you, but I didn't want to complicate it too much to start out with. Let me know how it goes. Peace, delldot | talk 04:59, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
How's life?
[edit]Hey, just checking in to see how you're doing. Have you been around much lately? Don't forget you can always drop me a note if you ever need anything. Peace, delldot talk 23:35, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, haven't seen you around in a while! I wondered what you've been up to and if you're still involved in the project. I'd love to hear from you, drop me a note when you get the chance! Peace, delldot talk 07:39, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
