Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ulaid, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Antrim. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your block

You can tell me to mind my own business if you want, but I thought I should offer my thoughts re this. The blocking admin explained it at the time. An editor not involved in the dispute put a "merge from" template at the top of the article and then you changed it to a "histmerge" template. He counted that as a revert, which is defined at WP:3RR as "any edit...that reverses the actions of other editors, in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material." It was a technicality, and it is a technicality that you can't rely on in your AE case, because you can't show an edit that was reverted by GL's first edit, the way that admin did with yours. A number of us said at the time that it was a bad decision, and I still believe it was, but he followed the letter of the law, so you won't get any admin to criticise him. All you will succeed in doing is getting their backs up and making it less likely that you will get any satisfaction from them. I advise you to let it go. @Scolaire:. I was not seeking an admin criticise another, I was simply seeking clarification considering HJ's quite valid points on what constitutes 1RR, and still feeling a bit aggrieved about my own situation so I sought their viewpoint on it. Obviously nothing can be done about it and it was a minor technicality, and a minor block, and every admin will view things in their own way, and Callanecc did do the right thing in following the letter of the law even if it aggrieved me. I think you've done the right thing in striking that through and asking for closure. Scolaire (talk) 07:50, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
