Vera Borea
Hi--Apologies in advance as I have no idea if this is the correct way to reach you in response to the message you sent me. In fact, all of the changes I made on the sportswear page are referenced on the pages of the subject, i.e. my reference to McCardell's time in Paris is clearly stated on McCardell's Wiki page; the reference to Borea is stated on her wiki page, and so on. That is where I got the information. Therefore, I assumed that the Wiki vetting process had already been respected on the aforementioned pages and I did not realize that the references need to be re-cited. All best.Tkparis (talk) 21:35, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Tkparis - YES, please cite the information all over again when adding it to a new page. We can't expect the reader to go looking at other Wikipedia pages for supporting cites. In fact, duplicating citations from other articles is positively encouraged for the purposes of making sure that information is credible and can be tracked to a source. As long as the actual sources are reliable sources in themselves then it is all good! Mabalu (talk) 21:43, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
Of the users who have Template:User Fashion on their pages, you are among the few that is currently highly active. Of those few you seem to be the only one that focuses on Fashion. WP:FASHION seems to be inactive. I am trying to get the model Emily Ratajkowski promoted to WP:FA in time to be considered for WP:TFA for her 25th birthday. It would be great if you could get involved at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Emily Ratajkowski/archive3 and in her article directly. Let me know if you are interested.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 14:01, 5 April 2016 (UTC)
- Hi TonyTheTiger - While it sounds a great thing to do, I'm afraid I'm really more interested in clothing than models. I can edit at great length about the history of fashion, clothing and designers/manufacturers, and while I HAVE edited a few articles on models, they are usually historically significant models such as Mary Jane Russell, I don't think I've actually done any work on contemporary models. I don't recall having heard of Emily Ratajkowski before, so with the greatest respect, and best wishes for the project, I'm going to have to demur, sorry. Mabalu (talk) 14:55, 5 April 2016 (UTC)
